GREATEST SCORE/SOUNDTRACK EVER? WHY?

There is a thread on the Film & Television Downloads section (till it gets moved if it ever does) started by user, ygmmasta‎. Since that is for Films & maybe TV only, I decided to start one that is only for videogames. Unlike ygmmasta‎’s thread, this will not be a poll. Instead, I’d like as many answers as you want, but give a reason as to why you chose whatever you chose. If you number them, also say why this is number 1, that’s number 2, etc. If you don’t number them, that’s fine. I don’t do that. Instead, I just say in no particular order, then post my list cause it’s hard for me to number them.

Please respect the opinions of others because whenever a list of greatest, top, best, worst, etc of anything is compiled, you’ll get 100 different answers & opinions from 100 different people. So please do not argue with anyone over this. Once I finish compiling my list (it’s quite big), I will post it. In the meantime, I’m curious to know yours. If it is a particular version….for exapmple: the arcade version or the SNES version, etc, please state that so we know which version you’re posting. Yes some prefer one version over the other cause of how it sounds or which version is nearest & dearest to their hearts.
