This is some of Jake’s most ambitious work, sadly unavailable on his website due to rights issues, so I took it upon myself to produce a rip. The main attraction are the four pairs of level themes with variations; put together here in the most musically satisfying way I could manage. Fans of 60s ‘crime jazz’ and B-movie sci-fi will love it. Enjoy! 🙂
I played through the game to get everything right with the rip. Sadly story sequence underscore was unextractable. The rest required a fair bit of editing. Hope you find the music as much fun as I do!
I didn’t know Jake Kaufman yet, so for me the main attraction was certainly the opposite of yours, but anyway I can say by now that you must be right because, except Andy Sturmer’s Main Theme, I recognized DMP’s style from the series in some tracks but not in others. I haven’t listened everything yet, but I think:
Batcave : DMP
Character Select : JK
Training : DMP
Bashing the Bad Guys : DMP
The Case of the Siamese Diamond! : DMP
Gotham City I & II : JK
Catwoman & Catman Battle : DMP
Monkey Think, Robot Do! : DMP (indeed a title card from the show)
Science Island I & II : JK
Didn’t listen to the rest yet.
So it looks like you’re right, JK did the levels BGM, and DMP the bosses and title cards.
Since I’m only discovering JK’s work, I’m not used to it yet, but I think it sits well the game (especially moments that sound like SNES BGMs, which is pertinent for a 2D game) and combines well with DMP’s.
And since there was no music released from the series (at least no score, because there was still the Music Meister OST), I’m very happy to find there some of it.
I looked for the credits and found them on mobygames, where I found (DS version):

He also lists his involvement for the DS game, which is ALL MUSIC and sound effects. I don’t know where moby games is getting their info.
