you can’t judge a score by the movie. there are a lot of crappy movies out there with really good scores

I did not see the movie either. BUT I will say seeing the movie usually helps me get into a score more.

I had not bothered with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, for example, but after seeing it, and loving it, I have grabbed the score…

Agreed! Look at the new Conan movie, it was complete shit, but Bates score to it was incredible!
