SYNOPSIS
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (the Christmas television special) was produced in stop motion animation by Rankin/Bass. It first aired Sunday, December 6, 1964, on the NBC television network in the USA, and was sponsored by General Electric under the umbrella title of The General Electric Fantasy Hour.

THE SOUNDTRACK
Here’s an expanded soundtrack containing all of the song tracks including "We’re A Couple Of Misfits (from original broadcast)" as well as the replacement track "Fame And Fortune".
And let’s not forget Burl Ives singing "Silver and Gold", "Have A Holly Jolly Christmas" and " Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Finale".
As an added bonus, Track 29 is a Billy Mae Richards Radio Interview.
NOTE: Even after it’s 50th anniversary release on BluRay, no stereo soundtrack was ever found.
So to this day, I cannot find the "underscore" to recreate it entirely.

I just noticed something. Like all the other releases, this one is missing the "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day" sung by Burl Ives. All have the instrumental, but not the one by Burl Ives, which you can buy online.
I’m just curious which Video version of "Rudolph" has this song?
thanks

I haven’t seen them anywhere.
However the Bonus tracks included in this edition contain instrumentals re-recorded by the Decca Concert Orchestra, which are similar to what you are looking for.
I’m just curious which Video version of "Rudolph" has this song?
Do you mean the song I mentioned by Burl Ives, "I heard the Bells on Christmas Day"? Its in all the versions I’ve ever watched.
Here’s a timeline for the show with all of the known songs.
Any idea where it goes?

I did some more digging and found it; it’s at 57 seconds into the film underneath Burl Ives talking about Christmastown.
And if you download the soundtrack, you’ll see that the instrumental version is included (as rerecorded by the Decca Concert Orchestra).
Good catch!
For all of you fans keeping score, here’s an updated listing of all songs in the film.

Thanks for solving this mystery. I always wondered where that song came in the show and missed it all these years! I’m still hoping someone with the know-how can see if the DVD or blu ray can be ripped for the underscore music.

That’s a tall order given how the score was recorded, but you never know.
Considering that the original score was recorded in mono in 1964, you’re not likely to find a 5.1 mix, even on BluRay.
I imagine that’s why they included the "rerecorded" instrumentals by the same orchestra (Decca), but they are obviously not exactly the same as the TV version.
Peejeshare is being wonderful again.
According to the site, the file is still there, but all slots are filled.
Please try again later.
Sorry about that, Peejeshare has been a pain lately.
I deleted the file on the server, and re-uploaded it.
Here’s the new-new link => see last page
P.S. If you get the message "All Download slots are filled", just keep trying.
Meanwhile I’ve uploaded a new copy to Zippyshare. Let’s see if this is any better.
