Ah.. these early 50’s epics were how the studios undercut the (then) growing TV audience. Everything was ‘Bigger and better", right down to the music. This era produced some truly magical scores.

A fantastic Rozsa score and though a mono recording from 1952,the M-G-M Studio Orchestra was at the top of their game when recording this masterpiece.
