Harder to find soundtracks and game rips

I listen to a lot of videogame music, but sometimes I just can’t find a particular thing I want. So I’ve been collecting a few more rare soundtracks and ripping music from some games that aren’t very popular, there for do not have Official Soundtracks and what not. I’m just starting so I don’t have many, but here they are.

Ok, I don’t have the tools for it but, if you tell me what you want I can put some good effort into finding it. And as of right now all I can rip are N64, NES, SNES, and PS2. Really trying to look into ripping much more than that though. Just got a crappy pc. Anybody can hit me with a request and i’ll let you know if I can get it done or not. Happy music hunting.

It’s kind of a difficult one but I will try my best. No promises at this moment but effort will be heavily applied.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I was looking for some music rips from Locoroco 1 or 2 for PSP. The official soundtrack is worthless as it only has 1/10th of the music, with heavy use of those annoying voices and most of what’s in there isn’t even complete. So i’m looking for the actual music samples (without the squeaky voices). The music is dynamic so there are many samples that blend together as you progress a level. Having those individual samples would be cool as one could mix them as he likes. Unfortunately i have never seen a gamerip for these games (and they have pretty catchy music).

Or maybe i’m asking too much here 😛

Nah, you just have specific tastes. But yeah, those little noises get annoying after a while. So my search begins.

Could only find the liscenesed tracks but keep in mind this is a rare soundtrack thread, not an unreleased soundtrack thread. When this thing comes out it won’t be rare, that’s for sure.

thanks for nightmare creatures :), the files on nightmare creatures are playable as an audio cd anyway and as such i had put them all down on cassette back in the day, this is a great way to upgrade those recordings 🙂 thank you

It’s a scrolling shooter, but is hardly mentioned of and super-hard to find. I only found a link to the stage 1 theme of it.

that game doesnt exist. gamefaqs doesnt have a game of that title.

Sorry, but Master of Monsters probably won’t happen, i’m looking for hot shots as we speak and for puppies to the rescue, does it matter if it’s PC? That’s the version I have.

I’ve been searching for New Adventure Island (Turbo Grafx) soundtrack. Closest I came was Zophars Domain in a special format. Downloaded the winamp plug in and sadly it only has some sound effects and the ending, no level music.

Edit: I’m currently ripping Tales of the World – Narikiri Dungeon 3 (GBA) and Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity (Wii). These soundtracks, along with the other two in the Tales Narikiri Dungeon series, have already existed before, but seem to have vanished. If they were around somewhere, it would save me the trouble of tagging everything.

Anything Yu-Gi-Oh is really hard to come by. Especially many of the older GBA games. I have been looking for

If you mean the ‘official soundtrack’, there’s no such thing, but if you mean the streamed audio, ripped from the disc, and converted to 320 kbps MP3s, I believe I have FLACs, and also MP3s but they’re not 320 kbps, unfortunately. I could just convert the FLACs to MP3 at 320 kbps, though, but then slippyToad’s rip also includes final smash themes for King Dedede, Luigi, Peach, and Diddy Kong, and various other sound effects like that.

Which console did you rip the Gauntlet: Dark Legacy tracks from? Dreamcast, PS2, etc. I have the DC version, so just curious if there are appreciable differences in the various console iterations of that title from a soundtrack standpoint. Thanks!

Oh, I don’t take credit for that one, I found that on Megaupload a LONG time ago. And as far as i’ve heard, the music is pretty much the exact same. I only ripped the Nightmare Creatures ones as I said on the comment.

Dinosaur King for the Nintendo DS? It’s not really much of a point-and-click game.
It’s more of a Pokemon-style RPG that uses Rock-Paper-Scissors battles mechanics.

Audio files for most PSP games use the ATRAC codec so I just converted them to into wav files using Sony Soundforge and from there, to mp3. The files looked like they were a bit lossy to begin with but after comparing with the digital release of Dive Into Pixeljunk Monsters, the sound quality and timings seem to be almost completely identical.

By any chance would you know how to rip the SF2 Arrange Soundtrack from Capcom Classic Collection Reloaded on PSP? Or the whole OST from both Reloaded & Remixed for that matter?

The arrange soundtrack from Capcom Classic Reloaded is the same found on Street Fighter: Anniversary Collection on PS2/XBox. I think it’s floating around on FFShrine, I’ll check.

Oh! I just checked it out (as I have Reloaded on my PSP) and all the at3 files are buried in a BGM.dat file. I use Sky`s Console File Scanner to extract them and then ATRAC3plus Tool to convert the AT3’s to aa3 files, which Soundforge can then convert to wav files. It’s a bit tedious but it’s the only method I’ve found that gets the job done. lol

I’m going to ask something that may be impossible to do, but I will ask in any case, since there’s no rip (that I know of) for this particular game…

I’m wondering if you’d be able to rip the music from a Japan only PS2 game called Rasetsu Alternative? I thought the music was quite good from what little I’ve played, and I’ve always been interested in hearing more of it. Mind you, it is supposedly a port/remake of a PC game (albeit with different character designs), maybe a port of both PC Rasetsu games into one game, and there was an OST (http://vgmdb.net/album/2160) and an arrangement CD (http://vgmdb.net/album/29088) for them.

Still… even if the PS2 game is indeed a port/remake, I still can’t say if the music is the same as the PC originals, nor do I know if the OST has all the music, either way…

You know, the link you provided for Hyper Street Fighter II Collection was waaay more complete than the one I had: it contains the Arranged, CPS2 and CPS Version of the themes. The impressive part is that they have CPS mixes of Fei Long, Dee Jay, Cammy and T. Hawk. It’s interesting to hear how those songs would have been if they appeared in Street Fighter II! Thanks again. What has annoyed me is the fact that there has never been a more extensive rip/recording of Jak and Daxter: The Precurosr Legacy and Jak II. A few mixes played in the games are missing, and, in the case of Jak II, some songs are missing or incomplete in the rips on Galbadia Hotel’s site.

Would it be possible, for anyone, to share a more complete soundtrack for these games?

any game done by Naughty Dog as far as the older generation games go has analog music, so…gettin proper music quality proves very difficult.

So I’ve been told, aces7839. Still, even if the music quality is not the best, I would be glad to have what’s missing. The quality of what is already available on Galbadia Hotel is satisfying, to me anyway, and what’s missing in such quality would be somewhat a blessing. Much of what is missing are favorites of mine, which is why I keep bringing up Jak and Daxter and Jak II whenever requesting opportunities arise (which are far and few).

I agree, not many people take requests. And I also desire these complete rips as well. Anybody know where locally I could get a cable for putting the audio feed from a game console to my computer? I could attempt to do it that way, but I have little knowledge as to what cables and cords I need. Once I figure it out, i’ll give all these requests ago…. just as soon as my internet comes back fully. Thinking about just getting a completely different internet provider. It’s gotten bad.

as for the cable, u might have to google it. i would think an ethernet cable would fit the bill, but…not quite.
