Batman: Arkham City 14cd (2011, Complete, 320k) – Arundel & Fish

Hey Guys…

I know a fair few of you were waiting on this, sorry for the time it took, but I do play the game as I record the music, then I edit the music, raise levels/decrease levels (as in sound) then I name and tag the tracks – so it is a longer process than the norm; not that I am complaining it takes so long, id rather have a comprehensive guide to track names etc!

Now, to straighten things up, this is a personal rip of the music as I like it; Yes, there will be very long tracks and some ‘over’looped tracks – but that is how I like it, feel free to use adobe audition or another musiuc editing program to cut the track shorter if you wish!

There are as well some repeated tracks; but the way the game is structured, the use of alternate layers give the music a different sound; so in fact what you get is A similar, yet different track! If you do not wish to keep these tracks, simply delete them.

Now, 99% of the tracks here are actually from the game there are a few, however, that i was not pleased with due to levels lowering due to Batman having a tutorial speech or Batman being hit by something harder than a fist which caused the music to become disorientated in the process; I guess to emulate Batmans senses being knocked for six… In this instance i have tried to recreate the music as i heard in the game using the layers that have been posted here already! There is also cutscene tracks that i used from the commercial and replaced the SFX filled cutscenes that you get from the game; I think you will be happy with them; at least I hope you will be happy with them!

These tracks are

Disc 1 – Meet, Catwoman/Sorry Boys (Front End used a layer that was present and also reused in the game)
Disc 1 – Church of the Poisoned Mind (A Somewhat loyal edit from layers as the track in question had Batman doing his Tutorial)

Disc 2 – Jokers Funland Montage (Music not heard whilst playing the game with only Music levels present)
Disc 2 – Rooftop Fight (There were 3 different tracks that play as you fight, but as soon as you get out of combat zone the track changes) *Annoying*
Disc 2 – Hush Little Baby (See Jokers Funland Montage)

Disc 6 – Fragile Alliance (This piece of music only lasts until Bane has defeated all the goons) So extended it

Disc 7 – Its Time To Save Arkham City (music only plays when you are being shot at by Tyger Helicopters, when you hide the music ebbs)

You will also find within the cd’s themselves, several *Alternate Ending* tracks These occured when I died and defeated the boss battle, so I included them. I am sure i have missed some endings be it a defeat or defeated ending, so will play the game again at some point.. Just in case! Also, through out the cd’s (1-8) you get *Bonus Tracks* these tracks are not in-game tracks, but Challenge Map music and the suchlike – jsut to fill the CD really (there is also a cd dedicated to the challenge map music that i did not put as a bonus track)

So to give you a bit of a run down – Here is what you are getting

Discs 1 – 8 is the in-game music (Plus a few bonus tracks) These come to a total of 168 tracks and over 10 hours of listening pleasure!
Disc 9 will be the remaining Challenge Map Music (which I am still ripping at the present) as I have just got the Batcave DLC) So this may be cross over to Disc 10!
Disc 10 (at the moment) is the commercial release score with 4 extra tracks composed by Ron Fish that are present on his website (So an extended release)
Disc 11 is the Various Artist release with the music from the trailers that i have found (so again an extended release)
Disc 12 is the actual trailer tracks (with SFX) so if you can pinpoint the music used and send them to me, i’d be most grateful! And as a CD filler, i added all the dialogue from all the characters when you die or fail! so is for an interesting listen, but of course if you dont want disc 12, you dont have to download it!
Discs 13 and 14 – As NCFirebolt is creating a compilation of tracks from the layered tracks provided here, i decided to create some personal mixes from these layers instead!

I just want to point out now, that there are 2 music tracks I missed – These are *Spoiler Alert* The Elevator Ascension to Hugo Strange… It sounded identicle to another track i had already recorded, alas it was another mix with a different ending, so will reget this… Also missing is the end credits as it seemed to drag on for like 15 minutes and was literally 3 ambient tracks that rolled on forever… It was not until i stoped recording that you get to hear the *Only You* and *Hush Little Baby* tracks by Joker and Harley… So for these tracks alone, i will rerip this, but this means playing the game in its entirety to get these 2 tracks (as the are damned near the end of the game) So bare with me!

I have a trusted friend who is creating the artwork for me, so will provide that once done! But anyone else that has the knowledge of doing artwork, that wishes to do so and post here, please feel free!

Forgot to point out, my track listings are justified to how I came about the music; This being a variant of a sandbox game, you will of course come across the music possibly in a different way, moreso really with the side missions.. So bare that in mind also 🙂

I can do it for the XBox 360 if someone would be kind enough to purchase it for me on the XBox, but to be perfectly frank, I dont think you are going to get different music or better quality (from me) than what you have got from the PC rip as I would do the XBox 360 rip exactly the same, Line In!

Wait, wait, wait. When do you get to play Killer Croc again? I just finished my first play through and I’ve wandered off a bit from the main mission to collect Riddler Trophies and destroy Titan containers and even went through a sewer type area but still no Croc. Please help me out.

After you defeat Ra’s Al Ghul, you go back through the tunnels the way you came, you will come across the tunnel you need to get out of is block by a grate. YOu have to fire a remote control batarang through one of the grates to hit a button (you will see) and it will spark the cutscene of Croc! Hope that helps! Interesting little side note but did you notice the little hints they left about Harley Quinn being pregnant and possibly setting her up as the new antagonist for a potential third game? It’s pure speculation obviously until it’s confirmed but I can’t wait! Arkham City was hands down one of the best games I’ve played in quite a while. I probably will not get the opportunity to sit back, relax, and just enjoy the experience that this music is outside of the game but it will make for great driving music. I did listen to a few pieces and excellent work, scoreman. Kudos to you! Church of the Poisoned Mind was a particular favorite track so far. Now to clear off some space on my iPod to fit this beast. Also, if you land on the shipping boat near the amusement section, on the hatch if you open the enctypter and tap in *City of Fear* (I think) you can go in and see that Scarecrow is also hatching a pln for the nect one.. And after you complete it and go free roaming a lot of the thugs are discussing the next plan! So a third is imminent i think! 🙂

Slightly confused, my original upload was 320k! I have not downloaded OrangeC’s reup, but i dont think he would have converted to Ogg as it would be totally undeed!

The links in post # 126 are to Kenshirhokuto’s different/separate rip in Ogg Vorbis format. Sounds great but it is not Scoreman’s original work from this thread. Does anyone have Scoreman’s version? It would be fantastic to have that too.

you can find a ogg. to mp3 converter pretty easily.

I used Toast Titanium on Mac OSX to convert Kenshirhokuto’s Ogg Vorbis files to MP3. But those files are from a different thread, they don’t have track names, and they aren’t in any order.

I think someone out there might still have Scoreman’s original 14 CD set, which was done in 320k MP3, has track names, follows the chronological order of the game, and is pretty much as complete as we can get…

he never finished the full 14 cd soundtrack, cause some idiot reported the link and no one has really heard much from the main creator of the soundtrack, and the last 2 discs NCFirebolt was making he did the awesome Arkham Asylam rip, hopefully this will be finished one day

I still am working on that tbh, it’s just the lack of time. I hope to finish Arkham City one day… at least by nex year tbh.
I’m trying to work with the edit Machionic did, but he just did the complete mixes from the album instead of building it up sequence-by-sequence, so mixing the soundtrack is hard. Luckily, thanks to the efforts of scoreman, orange and machionic, I’ve got a basic idea of what goes where.

The one song I am really interested in but just can’t find from the game is the 15 second loop when you punch penquin for the first time. It is the theme right after the bruce wayne opening fight with penguin "rich kid blues" and before you start ascending the ladder to reach alfred. Basically after you break penguins hand, beat up his thugs, and then punch him again a theme plays for 15 seconds and loops. As soon as you reach a certain point while climbing it slowly moves into another piece of music. if you can get it that would be the best.

If not, can you educate me on looking for a software program that plugs into your tv, records what is on the tv and uploaded to computer?

I’m having trouble extracting the files. When I try to use JDownloader, it says that the extract fails because it can’t find part13 (and there’s only parts 1-12). When I try to use my normal extracting program, I put in the password and then it just displays the extracting message and progress bar forever without anything actually happening.

Me it says with Jdownloader that the file for part 2 are nto found but i do find the part 13. Weird….

What’s funny is when I first added the container, it said it couldn’t find part 4, but I tried it again and it worked. But part 13 never even showed up at ALL.

And NOW part 13 is showing up. Weird, weird, weird…

Well, I’m late to the punch as usual on this. I do have SOME of the Arkham City tracks, but I know there was more. And it was just bugging me that I couldn’t find a complete rip in time before the links died. It’s just an empty feeling not having all the tracks. 🙁

I never got around to downloading the remaining 7 volumes so those may be lost to time unless somebody else downloaded them. Also, this set contains A LOT of loops and some cues w/ SFX. I made an edition which removes all the loops and eliminates the SFX tracks (apart from one Solomon Grundy cue which was left in so as to not leave a gap in the Solomon Grundy titled cues which I happened to like).
