BE ADVISED: EVERY time I try to use "Turbobit", it always says that my connection quota has been reached, and I have to wait until later to download the file. THEN, when I try back, it tells me the same thing!!!!!

However, if I STAY on the site, and sit for 5-12 minutes, waiting for the time limit to be reached, only THEN can I actually download the file, but only after the site plays games with me for another 2-3 minutes! You might want to stick with Megaupload, or Hotfile, some sites like that, they don’t play games!

And I’vev updated the score to Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. I am going to try and update all of these with 320 rips of my own, except the first one. My CD is scratched up to the point that it skips constantly, so if anyone has a 320 rip of that feel free to post it here so I can add it to the list (and so I can get no skipping versions of a couple of the songs). Also since I’m kind of trying to make a single thread for all the Underworld soundtrack needs, if anyone has any lossless versions of these feel free to post and I’ll add em to the list.

And in Awakening news:
-the facebook page for the soundtrack has stated that info on it will be coming soon
-Film Music Reporter has stated that Paul Haslinger is doing the score for the film (Paul Haslinger to Return for ‘Underworld Awakening’ | Film Music Reporter (http://filmmusicreporter.com/2011/10/17/paul-haslinger-to-return-for-underworld-awakening/))
-Best Buy’s website has the release date for the soundtrack and score as January 17 (so far the only place I’ve seen it listed) but no other details

Basing this off memory as I haven’t seen these films in quite a while: There was a scene I think in Evolution where Selene & Michael where in that cabin like warehouse or whatever the place was. I think they were in hiding. Anyway somehow they ended up in a closet and I think were making out. Don’t know if it really happened or if it was a dream. During this, there was music in the background. Classical music. Anyone know of this is on any of the posts above? If so, which album and what track name? I’d try finding it myself but since not having seen them in a long time, while I forgot what it sounds like, I did not forget that I liked it as it’s been on my mind recently. Thanks for any help 🙂

The background music to that scene is "Eternity and a Day" by Paul Haslinger from the score to the first movie (which I just updated the link to 320).

If you have the physical CD, as it bought it not downloaded, then you can rip it on iTunes in Apple Lossless. It’s pretty much the same thing. Or you can use WAVE though that would just take up more and unnecessary space. But you should be able to rip in FLAC if you have the physical discs anyways.

the link I originally had posted for the score was not my own. I didn’t think to remove the track from the folder when I uploaded my copy. and I decided to leave the track listed by itself in case someone already has the score and just wants that track (which is not available on the commercial release, I found it by chance on some site that had a review of the score).
I’ll look into ripping my cds as FLAC (never hurts to learn something new), although I don’t know if I’ll be able to do the first movie soundtrack, i’m still trying to find my disc repair thingy to fix the minor scratches that cause skipping. but I will see what I can do.

I’ve had minor scratches on a lot of my old discs from like 97-98 that skip on my stereo cd player. But I was still able to rip it on iTunes strangely enough. Apple Lossless is pretty much same as FLAC anyways. The only difference that I personally know of is FLAC will not go into iTunes (WAV will though) as Apple has its own lossless format. I burned Apple Lossless tracks to cd & am able to play it wherever I want. Don’t know how that is possible though as Apple seem to want you to only be able to play their format on their products (CPU is an exception) such as iTunes, iPod.

I’m sure there’s others, but off the top of my head, it’s really Eternity and a Day and Till The Morning After I like best out of everything so want those in lossless most right now.

Anyways I appreciate you trying no matter what happens in the end.

I don;t know if Awakening should have been here so soon. It’s great at it is as all Underworld is in one thread. But there may be an expanded edition of some sort sometime closer the the film’s theatrical or blu-ray release to push sales, not that sales need to be pushed as I’ve enjoined this series very much with only Rise Of The Lycans being my least favorite, but still liked it.

I’m kind of just adding as things come. So if ever I find expanded scores for Underworld, Rise of the Lycans or Awakening, I’ll add them to the list.

Yeah. Seems every composer, though they are VERY GOOD with all or most of their work, it seems like people connect them to one film or film series. Examples: Haslinger for Underworld, Graeme Revell for The Crow, Trever Jones for Dark City, Alexander Courage for Superman IV.

Elfman & Williams, are perhaps the only 2 composers that come right to my mind first as far as exceptions to this goes as they are known for and are usually associated by people with a lot of their work.

But I like, appreciate and respect any composer I have ever listened to.

Update: Just looked this game up on wikipedia, where I read: According to IGN.Com the release dates were canceled and the game was never sold in the USA.

Yeah, it was only released in the UK on PS2 (I got my copy from eBay… sadly have yet to play it lol). It was supposed to be released on PS2 and Xbox in the US but that never happened (not sure why).

Sadly no. I’ve had the game for a few years but haven’t played it yet. I’m still trying to figure it out and all but I was able to somewhat get it to work on my laptop with a PS2 Emulator, I just need to figure out what I’m doing with the emulator.

Once you do, let me know how good the game is. Not expecting much as it’s made on a movie and most movie based games suck badly. At least the ones I have played did.

Also give me info on the game – story/plot, type of game (shooter, adventure, you know) and all the usual details.

will do. what I do know is the graphics aren’t amazing, and that its a 3rd person shooter that has a similar plot to the movie where you play as either Selene or Raze and have to capture the Hybrid. something like that. I’m honestly not expecting anything amazing because like you said movie based games are usually lame.

Cover art and tracklist for the Awakening score were released today. Digital release via iTunes on the 24th, CD release 2/14.
The regular soundtrack for Awakening is supposed to be released digitally next week, so I’ll add it as soon as I find it.
I am still working on figuring out how to rip in FLAC (the most I’ve been able to figure out is lossless WAV files), so I am still working on that for you guys (and I guess if anyone wants the WAV files, let me know and I’ll upload them).

It seems like you’re really having trouble with the FLAC issue. Allow me to simplify it for you. If you have the physical discs (as in bought, not downloaded), you could use iTunes & rip as wav or as Apple Lossless as I prefer it personally cause it takes up less space that WAV or FLAC and from there whoever wants it in FLAC or WAV can just convert it though I don’t see why anyone would really care all that much cause as far as I know Apple Lossless can play on various players (iTunes goes without saying here) and can go straight into iPods (WAV does too but takes up more space) and who doesn’t have an iPod these days???

If not Apple Lossless, I’m fine with WAV, WAV & FLAC are both lossless so if you’re gonna upload in WAV, no real point in uploading in FLAC so you could stop working on how to rip in FLAC if you want. ANyone who wants FLAC could just convert it but to my knowledge, WAV plays in more players than FLAC does as I stated earlier including iTunes/iPods which pretty much just about everyone has nowadays anyway.

@GlassButterflies: Oh wow. I didn’t know Kate a.k.a. Selene did the vocals???!!! She’s really good. Anyway, what I would do is use Audacity to create a vocal-less Eternity And A Day though it may not be perfect though if that’s ok with you. Only things stopping me is I don’t know how to send or post songs anywhere though.

I don’t understand what is so complicated about FLAC. The nice thing about FLAC is that it reduces the file size tremendously from WAV files and it is open source. I don’t like ALAC (Itunes) because the file extension is the same for if it is lossless and lossy. This link tells you everything you need to know for FLAC and using foobar2000 (free) to convert:

I don’t get that part. I always rip my discs in ALAC & am quite satisfied with it….more so than I have been with FLAC & WAV. You are right…it is up to Emmy Has A Gun…just trying to help out. If he tries to upload in WAV it will take much longer.

Whether WAV or FLAC I will try adn upload for all the commercial released CDS, and I do plan on getting both Awakening soundtracks when they come out so I’ll upload them eventually. I check out the tutorial cleatus356 posted and see if that’s more intelligible than some of the tutorials. (I usually don’t have a problem with things but I think for me it’s just recently I haven’t had the time to really sit down and figure things out)
As for the question regarding Eternity and a Day, I’ve been trying to find a score that is more complete/without the voiceover but haven’t found anything. So in answer, so far as I know the only thing out there is whats on the CD. But if I ever find anything I will be sure to post it here.
And the Awakening soundtrack does come out digitally next week. Here’s hoping it’s as good as the preview sounds.

I get that. WAV does that longer, yes. But again whatever he decides to do should be fine as anyone who doesn’t like the format can get a converter & convert to their desired format. There’s billions of converters out there. So shouldn’t be a big deal. I mean, it’s not like we aren’t getting them, right? Though they are probably cheaper now, buying all of this would still be somewhat pricey. So people should appreciate someone’s taking the time out of their day(s) to upload so we can download for free. Regardless of what format Emmy chooses, time will be taken up.

Everyone’s been saying that it’s the instrumental of Tom’s Diner. Maybe that’s for the first song. But the second, the rock music that plays while announcer says "American Psycho"….might be Rammstein. I’ll check & let you know. Thanks!

Hey so just a quick update… apparently Megaupload (the file sharing site I use) has been shut down for copyright violations. And can I admit that I’m a bit surprised that I can’t find a link to the soundtrack anywhere? I would have thought it to show up online by now.

I’m not really that surprised. MU was & IMO is & always will be the best. Lots of stuff is posted there. A whole site full of old school and current cartoons is full of MU links. TOo bad I just recently discovered it.

Actually if you think about it though, the fact that it hasn’t been posted may be a good thing. MU got shut down due to copyright violation (piracy) so if the soundtrack was posted on let’s say RS or multi-upload, that’s just a risk. A real big risk. WHile MU will always be the best to me, RS is second so I don’t want that shut down. Well fileserve too.

And the hacker thing being a retaliation…….not buying it, true or not. I think those sites were hacked for good reason if I’m correct in saying that they were…..I don’t know if "Protesting in some shape or form" is the right expression……but maybe in retaliation to I don’t know exactly what. But I’m sure the hackers had a damn good reason to do something like that. But the feds didn’t have to shut a site down to retaliate. I don’t think shutting sites down won’t stop someone else from hacking any other site. Let’s be serious here lol.

Finally found a link for the Underworld: Awakening soundtrack (on some Arabic forum). It’s only 256 kbps, but for now I guess that’s good. I will be uploading a 320 kbps rip on Friday (hopefully) after I get my CD.
Oh and I guess to explain why it takes me so long to get things uploaded… I’m the paranoid type who tries to play it safe by not downloading and/or uploading too much in a day. So I apologize for that. Plus the site I’m using now does have a limit (200mb) for an upload so I bump into annoyances when uploading files bigger than that. Because it was requested, next on my upload plate will be the expanded score for Evolution. Hopefully I can get that up tomorrow. Sorry for any delays.

just throwing out a quick update, I will not be getting the cd for the Awakening score this weekend. I called my CD store about it and apparently there is some confusion about the release date. Their distributor has not reflected the date change (originally the cd was to be released next week I do believe), while Amazon has that it was released Jan 31 (and the Facebook page for the soundtrack also listed it as Jan 31). So they’re gonna see about getting a copy in for me next weekend. However I have seen a bunch of links for the Score on here already (although none that I’ve seen have the bonus tracks). So unless your looking for the bonus tracks, don’t worry.
Also while cleaning my room last week I found my CD repair thingy so hopefully I can fix my Underworld Soundtrack enough so that it doesn’t skip. So wish me luck on that. And I will work on ripping and uploading the Evolution Score today.

Laptop….totally understand man. Aside from Underworld, laptop issues are something you & I have in common. I just spent over $200….like around $230 getting this thing repaired for the 100th time. It was just a bad make. Dell’s laptops are apparently notorious for overheating sooner than others or so the reviews say. So I’m spending my free time searching for a new one cause with all these repairs, who knows when this will go. So I wanna have something reliable to use and I will use this one has a backup for however long it lasts. Can’t complain though cause as far this cpu goes, it was less than $300 so I guess I got what I paid for.

Regarding the first MK Movie, haven’t seen it in a long time so correct me if I’m wrong. I usually have good memory so if I watched it, it’d be boring since I already know what happens before it happens so I usually wait a long time to watch a movie again after the first viewing.
-Can’t Happen Here (Liu Kang returns to the Temple of Light) – This is where Liu Kang says he wants to enter the tournament cause the main bad guy will be there. Rayden shows up and asks how he’d win. Liu gets angry and walks away.
-Lies (Liu Kang’s first battle in the tournament) – Is this where Liu fights that dark skinned roaring like a tiger guy (sounds like he had a Jamaican accent? I’m judging this based on when he said No when his soul was being taken after losing) on the island?

Second movie….seen it many times too. Surprised we have since they got such poor ratings. I think the LC song plays for a few moments or seconds right till Zero gets caught in that cliff thing and puts his hands up for Liu to pull him up. That link you provided takes me to a blank white page. If you have a bootleg score of the movie, could you upload it? I wonder if there is a bootleg score or OST from the first move containing stuff not in the released score/OST?

I wonder why released cd’s don’t have everything. They should either be able to include whatever licensed material that is the movie. And if they can’t do that, at least provide info on them so we can obtain them ourselves, if possible. I could never get why trailers or commercials won’t have info on music used in them. It’s really annoying to have to find that info yourself since obviously, they already have the info, they should provide it IMO.

I was just stating that it’d be easier if the trailers, tv ads, etc provided that info for us. And they’d also be giving credit to those who made the music. Don’t know if the composers care much about getting credit/being recognized. But if I made music used by others, I know I’d sure want credit and music info out there in all seriousness lol!

Thanks for the link, but actually the MK score & OST came in the mail today and so did the Annihilation OST. Ordered the OST after you told me about the Stabbing Westward song thinking it was in there. But guy was selling the other two I got em.

Actually, i have Watched This video you gave me (scorpion vs subzero) On Youtube a few days back (just to make sure) right before I post info about Animality and i’m pretty sure it’s in fact the same song as it heard on the end of Animality, BUT only maybe it was edited for the movie (or Maybe The End Part of Animality just the shortened version).

From what i heard on the video, between both the music used in the movie and Animality it sounds little bit similar.

Yes. I noticed the similarity too. The end of Animality appears in the opening scene though. I re-watched my VHS of the movie to be extra sure. And then I watched the Scorpion part. Similar, yes. The same, no. Can’t find it on the score anywhere so perhaps it was a shortened or edited version or simply not present

Guess I’ll have to live without it and just use some kind of cutter or trimmer software to get that portion of the movie, convert it to sound and have it in my iPod. Not that bad though as the movie had very little SFX and the only dialogue was Scorpion screaming "SUCKERS!" and Liu screaming "Kitana!"

Hopefully the music will turn up somewhere at some point. Same goes for the Batman Begins music where after receiving his birthday gift from Rachael, Bruce goes down a shaft. opens up the closet and sees the Batsuit. That music hasn’t been released anywhere either although someone did a rip of it, which I have. Great job there. But an official release would obviously be better. Maybe La-La Land in a few years since they’ve done the other Bat movies.

I hope TDK Rises score will have everything, especially the music to the third trailer.

@Emmy has a Gun: Is it possible to provide Eternity and a Day in lossless without the dialogue at the end of the song. I think Selene says "I am the hunter" or something like that repeatedly. If you can cut that part out somehow, I’d appreciate it. Of course, if the lossless link to that still works, I can try cutting that out myself with Audacity. I am still new to that though. Willing to give it my best shot.

Here’s an update:
With the holidays I haven’t had much time to sit down and upload. And with Verizon (my internet service provider) being one of a few ISPs that are increasing on cracking down on piracy, my paranoia on uploading and downloading stuff has increased 1000 fold. So do forgive my delays and time taking processes. Hopefully I can get back to uploading stuff soon, but it will be one at a time and hopefully will stay up longer (may look into a different filehost because nothing on mediafire seems to last long these days, open to suggestions for good ones). Hope everyone had a great and safe holiday. 🙂

As I have no idea what I’m doing in regards to ripping anything in lossless I am unable to upload that, and the lossless versions of the scores were not my upload.
As for uploading Eternity and a Day without the audio, I don’t know how to remove audio from CD ripped songs, but I have been procrastinating on working on a DVD audio ripped score which I hope to try and get started on this year. (Because honestly, I love the score CD that was released, but it is missing a lot of really good cues and the dialogue added takes away from the music.)

Will definitely be re-upping that. Got all the soundtracks on my laptop and (because I’m paranoid like that) to avoid suspicion I try to keep my upload rate as low as possible (so like one or two cds a day). But I’ll put awakening at the top of my re-up list. 🙂
