After a bunch of work and help in the old thread (Thread 97184), I’m glad to present the finished Tides of Destiny game rip!

Some Rune Factory Frontier tracks were in the disc, so we put those in as well! We cut the environmental sounds and the "short" versions of some songs. They were pretty much useless, so hopefully you can understand!

The only two tracks that weren’t on the game disc are number 99 and 100.

99 is a medley of the main songs in the game, included in the bonus drama CD that came with the game in Japan. We thought the song would be a good addition!

100 is the ending song to the game, but in the game disc, it’s obscured by some dialog and therefore not complete. We got this version from CHI-KA’s Rune Factory Oceans CD, so it’s the full, official version!

Everything is tagged accordingly and ready to add to your music library. I’ve made a cover art for those interested in that, but you don’t necessarily have to use it! It’s the image at the top of the thread.

Would a kind soul who possesses this Tides of Destiny music compilation care to (re)upload it somehow?

I’ve gone to great lengths to search for this compilation elsewhere, but this thread is THE ONLY record of the soundtrack’s comprehensive existence. I know there’s a handful of songs that were uploaded to Youtube, but that amounts to about 1/3 of this collection, and with Multiupload down indefinitely, this thread may be the LAST ‘complete’ record of this game’s wonderful music.

I swear, if someone is able to (re)upload, I’ll put it on other download services I’m part of as well.

Never mind, I discovered a Japanese rip of the game (Oceans) and the singing is SO much better. Their voice actors have a much fuller sound in the various spirit song tracks.

However, this rip comes with many flaws: intro portions of songs must be reconnected to the looping portions, foley tracks need to be removed, ALL songs end abruptly and harshly, and ALL songs still need names. So… I’m gonna give it a shot. Hell, there are a good number of songs I want to lengthen/loop because they sounded awesome (Legendary Golem), and pretty much all need a smooth transition into the next song (Fade Outs). So me and ‘Audacity’ are gonna have a lot of fun getting to know each other in the coming month.

FLAC impossible because I’m working from 320 Kbps MP3 anyway. Wish me luck

Tiny Update. I’ve gotten through 60 of the 156 tracks I have. A good number of them were parts of other songs or background sound effects, so I don’t think I made excellent progress. I also went a tad further with Ellis/Iris’s song track from Frontier when found the instrumental one in Oceans. I’ll be labeling them in English, since all the source tracks are numbered without title.

So my plan is to lengthen these songs to loop at least once more, but that is mainly based on how much it exceeds 3 minutes. Most of the 60 tracks I altered fell short, so I had my fade-outs occur during the tracks’ 2nd loop (3rd time hearing the song) to try and get it into the 3 minute range. It’s fun working on the edits since the music doesn’t disappoint… except for the Summer Island’s track.

I also found an Audio Drama that features the Japanese voice actors doing episodic stories centering around the three sisters. AND an extra Music collection the full length versions of opening/closing songs and more by the same musical artist. I’ll figure something out with making them available. But I wonder if I should try torrents or if there’s a decent/free file sharing site. I’m not TOO too familiar with either enough.

I don’t expect to make a lot of progress for a while. I’m killing myself over a game I’m doing the art for. I’ll post an update later in March.

Gutter86, Where did you get those files- can you link to them so I can work on them myself, or perhaps link what you’re currently working on and let me finish? I am familiar with torrents and file sharing sites, I can provide them easily and I do lots of music editing. I’m a bit desperate for this soundtrack. I’ve been stalking this thread for over a month now.

does anyone have the mp3 of the trailer song "Oceans" by Chi-ka? it’s basically the definitive RFO song, but it isn’t in the actual game itself. it was looping on the official site and in trailers, though! I can’t find a good quality one….

most of the 7zip program compress the files i want to open it… nothign out there to open the drn files

This is probably a pretty unreasonable thing to ask, but, what are the odds of you guys ripping and uploading the original japanese tracks from the game? I’m mostly just looking for the songs with spoken lyrics in them, like all the versions of the Song of Blessing, or the various Spirit Songs in the OST. I’ve been looking for it online for a long time, and even attempted to rip the tracks from the game ISO myself, but with no luck. Any help would be really appreciated. I just can’t stand the english voice acting. ]:

The only difference might be some times and track names. I ripped it myself to match his because I couldn’t find it. Haha, I wanted the music badly.

Hey, Techgeek1, I can’t seem to listen to them. It downloads them, but there’s no application that can open them? Is there something I can do to fix that?

I’m assuming you mean the .7z archive? You need 7zip to extract them. You can find it here Download (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html)
I find it handy because it can extract almost anything I throw at it.

How do I use this extractor? I’m having some trouble with it…

If you have it installed here is how to use it.

On Windows you right click on the file. go to "7-zip", and click "extract here" or "extract to /…".
On Linux you right click on the file and click extract.
On Mac I can’t help you. I’ve never been able to use one much.

The amount of joy this has brought me today cannot be expressed in mere text, so I’m afraid a mere "Thank you" will have to suffice. Really though it means a lot

Thanks for share this sweet ost. I just complete this game. The game is so cool, I really love it. Everybody in Fenith island totally good. I never feel a great memory from playing game like this so long. This ost will make me think about this game when I listen.
