As some of you do know most games use an audio system titled: Audio-kinetic WWise In there games, While they are easy to convert WWise games are known for not having any Proper Filenames which makes it hard to find any music in the huge number of files with the ID strings named as: 35623 as an example. If WWise has names each music bank will come with a txt file with the names matching each String ID. But most games don’t have this txt file and we have to just convert an see which is music and which is not.

Another thing About wwise is that some games can use Layers/Segments which makes it hard because since it uses this atrocious number filenaming scheme these can be really out of order and make it difficult to sort and find out which music mixes with which.

These problems almost make the game almost unrippable because You simply cannot risk mixing or combing wrong without it sounding bad.

So reason i start this thread is for Some Help from you users who probably have played games that use the WWise system, Which can help me and other vgm legacy rippers to do our job more correctly when ripping wwise. Here is how it works.

1. I post the game streams in This thread unedited and in MP3 for smaller size and so users will be happy to play them and identify. 🙂
2. A person downloads these streams and while played the game or has finished the game can remember the music well Lists these names in a txt file with there matching string number. For example: "235678 – Boss fight"
3. Users post the txt file here and we will do the rest. 🙂

If users can contribute a little to WWise then it will make it much easier on us because we don’t have time to play the games through and rename.

I will first take opinions on this before posting any streams.

This is an awesome idea. This would have saved me hours of hurt for Dungeon Siege III. I don’t know how much I can help with this, considering I usually do this for my arranged soundtracks anyways.

Hmm well you can just name the files then you can post a txt containing the names and there matching strings. 🙂
