It didn’t feel like it was that hard.The invincibility items make its attacks useless.

Yep,i used holy wars.

The fight is so easy that you don’t really need to cheat.
As long as you got that temp invincibility,you are immune to the effects of terra break and that other attack temporarily.
These items are kind of overpowered actually

What level were your characters when you fought him?

My highest character was level 33,and the lowest was rinoa i think:15-17.
I had 9999 hp with 255 in all stats but luck.

Ultima full life life and shell in elemental defense.
I had:Pain death Esuna? i think it was,and something else to make me immune to a lot of different negative status magic.

Well then that’s not that impressive for beating Omega. If you want to challenge him at his best, have all your characters level 100 then do it again.

Actually, I thought Omega Weapon was always level 100 regardless of your level, and considering the stats he had it doesn’t really matter that he’s such a low level himself. :p

If you do want more of a challenge though, try it without using invincibility.

I beat him with invincibility items I used defend on two characters to block Terra break.

This may be true if you beat him the way the OP did because if you challenge him when all your characters are level 100, it takes quite a number of Lionhearts to kill him considering he’ll have around 1 million HP (assuming you’re lucky enough to get it).

on my way to ultima right now…charachters are pretty buffed out …not all crazy like dude was with 255 stats but im pretty buff i think im ready for ultima atleast

just dont let omega weapon use the "Terra Break"….
make sure to use limit breaks and cast haste to your party. 🙂

Just use triple, haste, and aura on your party and this battle will be a cinch. And yes, heal/revive when necessary.

I would say that the concept of using Squall’s Limit break and auto haste is a for gone conclusion to every fight at this stage. Not that I’m complaining, I mean it does take effort to get your party to that standard. At the moment, I’m leveling up all my characters and attempting to obtain their Highest level weapons.

Say, does anyone know the fastest way (besides modifying cards) to obtain Adamantines and Energy crystalls?… And Hyper Wrists as well?

Well done on defeating Omega, but in fairness it couldn’t have been all that difficult whilst using Holy Wars now could it?

Regardless of the level of the characters. So if he was playing it on PS1, he had it more rough.

Mug Adamantines from Adamantoises (beach West of Dollet). You can win Energy Crystals from Elnoyle (in Esthar), or if you’re on disc 4, you can either refine 10 Elnoyle cards to 1 Energy Crystal or you can Mug Ruby Dragons (Island Closest to Hell, Deep Research Facility, and Forest near Edea’s House) for Energy Crystals.

Actually, it’s the Gilgamesh card which refines into 10 Holy Wars. The Bahamut Card refines into 100 Megalixir’s.

I remember back in the day when I first beat Omega. That useless Omega Badge in menu was my biggest mark of pride lol. Feel like playing some FF8 now.

First time i beat it:yes, but no in battle.For getting rid of all rules but open, always have all everywhere, and infinite card mods to speed up modding, but i’m playing 100 legit, with no cheats.I have a really good clue on getting rid of all rules, which i didn’t before, and i didn’t want to deal with the time it took to max out stats with modding, because it was so tedious.This time, i’m biting down, and doing 100 legit.Ultima weapon itself i did without cheats

It’s pretty easy to beat Omega Weapon without resorting to a cheat device… just use ingame items, have the proper weapons and Junctions set properly.

Shinryu and omega in ff5 are harder.
Shinryu insta wipes your team before even getting a turn unless you have coral rings on i think, and his other attacks hurt a lot.

The hardest part about ff8, is learning to play.I am working really hard to beat this game legit, and it takes more effort, because it is tedious as hell.

I love fighting Omega Weapon! I think the Holy War/trial method is really boring though. The constant full revives and triple auras, topped when lucky limit breaks really adds to the thrill of the fight. Otherwise I’ll just use meltdown + Zell’s 1,000,000 damage combo {–> + <–}, {^ + v} killer trick.
