Ok I thought about sending you a PM ManofDestiny, but that’s cowardly and I am no coward. First, I see no request for this in the request section, so how is it "by request"? Second, had I not posted MY version this morning in MP3, would you have posted this lossless one? Dick move, I gotta say…it’s like a slap in the face by a bitch

Okay, let’s not get all mentally erect here, people!

A. a request could come in thru PMs, or a request on another board, such as games, etc. for a soundtrack wanted, seen it happen many times before.

B. I have also seen people post the same soundtrack, on the SAME day, in the same MP3 320 format! One person (who posted it second) gets all the thanks, and the primary gets ignored! Dick move? perhaps, but it happens.

C. someone will post a score in MP3 192, and then someone else will post the same score in MP3 320, or FLAC, or Lossless. Is is a dick move to want to give people a choice of whichever format they would like to have the score in?

I think not!

Let’s try to be a little more understanding and try to SHARE, and share alike.

BTW, I only grabbed this copy as it was higher bitrate, and didn’t have that damned PASSWORD!

Williamtaylor, I agree about ppl posting things on the same day, it happens all the time. Like Immortals – there’s a million different versions already. But what are the chances that I post this first and then he posts it second? This has two things going for it: 1.) it’s a now 3-year old movie. 2.) it’s an Academy Promo. Coincidence? No. He was the first person to comment in my thread. There was no "thanks for sharing". All it said was that the lossless one had been out. Excuse me for not posting in lossless. I get my hands on something that I think ppl like myself would like to have, and I share. Had I not posted mine, he was still going to post this? Please. I’m no fool.

While I may be wrong about a request and someone sending a PM, this whole thing still feels rude to me

Rude? He may have commented on the FLAC or lossless version, and then went in search for it, found it, and posted it here. I can see your side that perhaps he didn’t get a request from anyone, seems a little out there, but the only thing that I can see that you’re upset about is, it appears as if he stole your thunder! This site is to share, not get in a race to gather up a bunch of thanks from everyone. If 20 people want to post the same score in the same day, I think that is a giant waste of effort. I personally think that Manofdestiny should have posted this version on YOUR thread, and said "Here ya go"!

I’ll tell you this: I created all of the "official" threads, to try and get everyone to post ALL the Star Trek stuff on that one thread, and all of the "Outer limits" stuff on THAT one thread, but it seems that people are only interested in getting "Thanks", rather than trying to keep everything on one thread.

Sarah says that every link has to have it’s OWN thread, which makes searching for something you want really hard. When you search for "Titanic", the person could have created a thread called "Almost totally complete and expanded titanic thread", or misspelled Titanic, or started it with "James Horner", or just "Horner", and it would not come up under a search like that. So, what are you going to do?

It is totally insane, this system. But we just have to deal with it or go insane with everyone else.

It’s all a part of life, and humans. Deal with it! 🙂

Now some need to be credited for the idea of posting something on FFS ?!!!… That’s painful.

I also experienced being pm’d with requests just after just mentioning something foundable in lossless in parenthesis recently, wich was something I had but erased. Just saying to the guy who want credits: you don’t have the ability, neither you have the need to judge that case.

… And anyway the people who download mp3’s will thank you. The ones downloading flac, will thank ManofDestinny (who use to bring exceptional stuff never seen in lossless, I noticed).

Besides, why are you complaing?… I would have interpreted this post of yours in reply to Manofdestiny when he mentioned the lossless version as a request:

Hey, please don’t be angry. I don’t want to be rude. I just think since you like it, maybe people would want it in lossless. I don’t want any credit. I did not compose this score, nor buy it. So I did nothing but only posting something I got for free. Many things I share are downloaded. I just share what others people shared, because I want people share what they have. That’s all.

Whatever, I’m over it. It just irked me that I posted it, you said the lossless one had been out (I took that as you asking me why I posted it) and then I wake up this morning to find you posted the lossless one. But it’s no big deal anymore

Publicly posting links is an easy way for Google spiderbots to crawl and index the link so anyone can just download them causing greater success of a takedown.

If the uploader finds his link is down and can’t figure out why, he’ll know it’s from people like you.

It said to me: This file has been identified as a copyright protected work and cannot be distributed using MediaFire. Because you named the file something that MediaFire could identify. It saw the words Bolt, Academy Promo, and John Powell and knew that it was possible that it was ‘copyrighted material’. That’s why I named my upload BOLTFYCMP3. MediaFire can’t identify that as a possible copyright ‘offence’. I’ve had this happen to one of my uploads before. The site wouldn’t let others download it because I called it something that the site could identify. In future, I’d suggest naming it something that humans can understand and figure out, but something that computers aren’t intelligent enough to figure out just yet. Just thought I’d let you know. 🙂
