Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy Soundtrack/Rip Request

This is for the 3DS game that just came out recently,so if anyone can make one or find it I’d apperciate it.

For those wondering, Legacy is a remake of AC2 and not a AH port.

Two or three of the tracks are straight from X2 still it would be great if the rest were delivered.

Sixthed. I also want this. Even though we’ve probably heard many of the songs before, considering many tracks are from Ace Combat 2 and Joint Assault. The song on the website mentioned above is fantastic though, and I don’t think I’ve heard that one before. Anyway, we gotta find this 🙂

With any luck, the songs from X2 that were mixed with wind SFX in the game rip (e.g. the Footsteps in the Night Sky-esque tracks) are available on this game clean.

Man, Namco needs to release official soundtracks of Go Shiina’s Ace Combat stuff…

It’s a 2CD release of the game’s score! It’s set to be packed with the Japanese DX pack, which releases in January. Also, if Google translate isn’t crap, it states that Go Shiina and Nakanishi (!) are back on the spot along with 6 other people…? That could be interesting. Hopefully this will be a return to form music-wise for the Ace Combat series…

That sounds awesome! Here’s to hoping. And yeah, that’s right even though the quality was good on the Joint Assault rip, there was still that wind noise in the background. I want the Ace Combat Unsung War, Zero and Fires of Liberation times back both music- and story-wise to the Ace Combat series. Assault Horizon was so shallow it was laughable compared to the PS 2 Ace Combat games!

Glad I’m not alone in wanting a return of the old AC music. 😉

That’s Assault Horizon, for consoles and a completely different game.
While it carries the title "Assault Horizon Legacy", Legacy is actually a remake of Ace Combat 2. The OST is being handled by Go Shiina, Tetsukazu Nakanishi, and several others. [Go Shiina always kills it! His orchestral choral pieces are always amazing.]

Holy crap, someone on Youtube is posting recordings from presumably the ingame sound-test option! These tracks are kick-ass, and really signal a return to the old Ace Combat musical style.

Yeah these tracks are absolutely amazing! Now if we could only get the full gamerip/OST over here as well.

Ace Combat music is finding it’s way back after the Assault Horizon nosedive, even though the soundtrack (unlike the game’s story) had some brilliant moments. But this orchestral music is much more fitting for Ace Combat 🙂 Let’s hope the next home console Ace Combat returns the emotional storylines that signified the PS 2 Ace Combat games.

Edit: I’ve listened to some more of the tracks now, and by golly, they’re beyond awesome! Even though some of them are altered versions of previous Ace Combat games, I’m really surprised as to why Namco didn’t release an OST in conjunction with the game, considering that these songs are better than Assault Horizon for PS3/XB 360 in my opinion.

First of all, sorry for double-posting, but I wanted a fresh post for this. Here’s what I’ve been able to scrounge up during the last few weeks. There’s a bunch of songs still missing (including the awesome debriefing song) but all in all, I think it’s most of the songs from Assault Horizon Legacy, although not the official OST. Enjoy!

Thanks to Killey, we’ve got an organized rip of the songs our kind Youtube fellow uploaded, so props to him! 😉 BTW, that user put up the rest of the tracks yesterday, I believe, so all 30 tracks are here now! 😀

Also, I wanted to say some parts of this soundtrack are pretty kick-ass, but is it just me or are some of the tracks really mediocre? Take Track 5 – nice rhythm but it’s one rhythm stretched over 3 minutes! Similar goes with Track 7. Other songs have a really dull rhythm with no melody with the same repetitiveness, like Track 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, and 28. Seems to me that some of the composers on that gigantic 6-man music team weren’t holding their weight; I mean for example those Shiina-sounding tracks are goddamn amazing, and the Hamamoto tracks are really hard-hitting, and those techno tracks maybe my Nakanishi are pretty sick too, but then there’s all these mediocre songs that really don’t sound remotely worthy of Ace Combat. It feels like the highs of this soundtrack are much higher than Assault Horizon, but the lows of this soundtrack are much, much lower than any Ace Combat yet. Honestly, I’d for a full release of X2: Joint Assault instead after listening to these tracks…

Yeah, the high peaks of Assault Horizon Legacy are truly high, but there are some lows in there too.

One of my favorite tracks (Track 12) is absolutely amazing, although if you, like me think that a part of the beginning is slightly too doomsday-ish, then I’ve edited out that part and voila, only the epicness remains 🙂

Man, I love Shiina’s tracks, the one above in particular. Shiina’s probably the best addition to Ace Combat’s music since Kobayashi.

So, did anyone find the official yet? Should be out now.

Has the official CD release been uploaded by anyone yet? I cannot see a link in this thread. I see one that links to what tracks are available on it.
