Way more excited about other games coming out, man. Uncharted’s cool and all but that’s mostly because of its writing and presentation rather than gameplay. This will probably be the game I’ll play last out of the October-November rush.

Personally, I’d argue the exact opposite. The gameplay in Uncharted is top-notch while the story is pretty forgettable. Either way, there are several other games to be more excited about in the coming months.

Video game stories in general aren’t spectacular. Uncharted’s story keeps me interested just because it’s really Indiana Jones-esque, which is good stuff.
As a platformer it isn’t great and as a third person shooter it’s pretty standard. Naughty Dog just really know how to augment this stuff with nice visuals/camera work.

As a platformer I agree its sub-par. But the gameplay, while not breaking any new ground, is polished to a mirror’s shine and just feels great. The good camera/visuals/sound add to that, but it’s the core mechanics that makes it great to play, imo.
The story I hardly pay attention to, because I just hate Nathan Drake. He’s just a non-character, as is everyone else for that matter.

I love the Uncharted series, but not enough to buy the Collector’s Edition. Definitely not a fan of the online gameplay though.

I really need to get U3, but I still have to play Arkham City, Skyrim, and Saints Row 3. Plus my BF3 addiction is in full swing. Complicated by the fact I only have around three days to play games.
This looks like the best Uncharted yet.
