Well DAMN people…Just gave the samples a listen MAN…I’m blown away!! Lots of Choir involved! (Which is a great thing for me, that is)
I think I’ll consider buying this OST…just for my listening pleasure. 😉

lol I just made a gamerip myself. I was thinking about uploading that but I guess you beat me. 😛
Battle on the Bridge is pretty sweet but reminds me too much of Dissidia [shouldn’t suprise anyone]. 😛
Really love the orchestral version of Peaceful fighting [assuming it is the "long version"]…but I’m really starting to get the impression that it might is the final boss theme (considering the placement on the CD) I don’t know, that’s my observation.

The soundtrack is really really nice! It includes some oldies as well. [Chocobo, Gilgamesh, and Prelude is already known but even Mog’s Theme [FFV/FFVI is included]

The only thing I feel kinda iffy about Ishimoto-san’s music is that he reuses the same instruments for almost everything.
SNES and plenty of other games had their own soundbank, which isn’t an issue. The issue is that Ishimoto-san has been using the same sample libraries since Crisis Core/Before Crisis. It’s not a big issue, but he kind of needs to update his sample library…

…but this brings me to the live orchestra music. Ishimoto-san’s orchestral themes have always been amazing [Cantata Mortis, for example] but his Type-0 music are equally incredible.

For example [I’ll leave out spoilers], in the last minute of the Type-0 opening, released on the official website, a soft, beautiful choir piece accompanies a surprisingly violent and incredibly heart-wrenching scene, then transitioning into the heroic main theme, for the intro credits.
(on a side note, I honestly have to say, I was surprised by how moving the scene was. [and I thought Versus was going to the darkest)

BTW I don’t know about you, but the recurring main theme of Type-0 is just amazing…seriously…but then you add the choir. Just……wow…

My review ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!! [my excuse: it was put together in 2 minutes -_-] But I just want to make it clear that I think this OST is great and very fitting for the game. I hope to hear Takeharu Ishimoto compose for Type-1. 🙂

@Jakah: You should upload your gamerip. Mine doesn’t have track names or anything, the tracks don’t loop so it’s a bit of a dirty rip. 🙂
Battle on the Big Bridge is similar to Dissidia because it’s the exact same arrangement, I think. XD
Also, you’re right about the orchestral themes, especially the main theme. It’s epic. I’ve been listening to it all the time while I was ripping and uploading (and I still am).
The in-game music is great too though, and while he does indeed reuse the Crisis Core samples, I think they’re pretty good samples. ^^
So I agree, 9.5/10 for this one. =D
