The movie is from 1985, but this release is from 2002.

There is a CD with two long suites, from 1990, released in France by Milan Records, and also a CD compilation with the two suites together as a single one, from 1985, released in Japan. Before that, these two suites appeared on various LP’s.

The suites are included on this set, tracks 1 and 2 of disc two.

Stunning score to a stunning film. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Criterion to renew the rights so they can release a Blu-Ray. That 2xDVD set is not getting any cheaper online!
