New Article: The Rise and Fall of Guitar Hero

Hey everyone, I’ve just written another article, this one in homage to one of my favourite game series of all time, Guitar Hero.

This is a near 7000 word article so I’ve split it in two. The first part, you can call it The Rise of Guitar Hero. You should at least feel sympathy for all the people that got laid off when Activision suddenly shut down the franchise, man. If I remember correctly from the leaked Activision memos, the whole thing was handled really poorly.

It’s true that, but as a company, as I explain in this second half, they need to take responsibility for the demise of the brand.
