Anyone else pumped about GW2?

ArenaNet are claiming to make not only the best online game, but also the best game of all time. That’s a pretty fucking BIG statement, and obviously only time will tell whether it is true or not.

I am very excited and will definitely be planning to play this. What are your thoughts on the game (with what little information has been given)?

A game is not bad because you don’t like the genre.

That’s like saying "Final Fantasy games are shit because I don’t like JRPGs."

If it still has the no monthly fee like the first one I will get it later. Not a fan of mmos only because of monthly charges on top of 50 bucks before it.

The gameplay of Guild Wars 2 still looks very limited compared to what is available in single player games. It still looks like it will play like most other MMOs around right now.

People always get way too hyped for MMOs.

I’m curious about the ‘server based pvp’. I just hope it doesn’t play like WoW though.
