FFXIII thread tells me it has a virus embedded in it or some sort of trojan

I need all of you big forum admins to please scan for viruses,because my computer gives me the red screen which means that its infected with some sort of trojan and won’t let me go in.

I used to be able to enter the FFXIII thread,and never had problems before.

Oh yeah,i talked this with neg,and he/she said they would talk to the others.

What sort of antivirus do you have? I got nothing coming up with Norton.

I did mention it in the mod forum, ftr.

I use separate programs for each thing:

Kapersky internet security for viruses and such.
Malwarebyte’s anti malware program

All updated and registered.

I seriously doubt the site itself has a virus, but your computer might.

Nope. I got the same message from my AV. And my PC is clean. At least, it should be with a good AV (that saved me from a handful of viruses already) and stuff. It tells me there is "malicious content" on that page. maybe someone embedded a script in his/her sig…

Its a possibilty that if there was a spammer there, and their post are removed, they still technically stay there. Then again Im talking out my ass, so I cant be ceartin about that.

Anyway, I don’t feel particularly concerned. I stopped playing FF after FF8 😀

Which thread is it, if you can ascertain that.

We can see if stabbing it in the throat’ll help.

I’m pretty sure that is exactly what is happening to me:my updated anti malware puts a red sign up when it detects something nasty and says to me:STOP!! do not go further for your own security or you can risk getting infected,so i say:get the hell out of here before i’m infected.

that’s exactly what I got. I can’t pinpoint a thread, as the message stops me from entering the whole section…

Cleared out the moderated threads and posts. I don’t even know if stuff that has been binned can affect stuff like this, but it was worth a shot.

I stopped getting that flag a couple of days ago.

I’ve stopped getting it in the recent days too. guess the problem is solved:D

when we were on 4.1.5 there was a security leak which apparently lead to someone injecting malware code. we’ve upgraded since then

Its fixed,i don’t get the red page anymore.
