The ‘complete’ Terminator 2 score that everyone keeps referring to is owned by HopeoftheFuture over on the TerminatorFiles forums. And he definitely will not share.
""""The version of the score he owns is based on a 6 channel DVD audio rip which has been mixed down from 6.1 to 2.0 stereo with all SFX channels isolated and removed. There is no official complete score to T2 as the extended music archives for the film have been ‘misplaced.’
If HopeoftheFuture can extract the audio and mix it easily enough, why hasn’t anyone else tried it? Especially since the Skynet Edition Bluray of the film contains a Lossless 24bit soundtrack. All you’d need to do is extract/record the 6.1 audio channels from the Bluray into a 6 channel audio card/interface and load it into a DAW and voila, you can start mixing to your heart’s content""""

HopeoftheFuture’s isnt all its cracked up to be. Trust me.
I heard that Fidel DOES have the master tapes at his place so there is still hope for a real complete. However, according to Silva Screen Records I highly doubt they’ll see the light of day any time soon.

Because I truly doubt the thing exists. Hopeofthefuture **says** he extracted the audio. But a lot of members here do rips, and most have said it is not possible to get clean rips of, say, the canal chase. I think if a rip could have been done, it would have. these guys claim they have a perfectly clean version, with terrific sound. But I have to wonder, if that is true, why not share. A rip is, after all, a rip. It is not like they are claiming they have the masters, or a promo or anything. So what is the big whup about sharing? I don’t think what they have will measure up to what they claim to have.

I thought the tapes were lost?
Thats what I thought too.. William on here says Fidel has em, but then again he may just be bullshitting about it. haha. It does give me hope tho that possibly in the future I may be able to get my hands on them.
There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.
Sorry about the lack of updates. Its been a long time since i have worked on this. I am going to try and finish this rip by Christmas. I recently acquired the blu ray of t2 and the sound quality is much much better. and there are 7 channels instead of 5. so hopefully i can rip that. its just been so difficult to try and get clean music from the rips so i sort of gave up for a while. I am so sorry for this long wait.
It’s hard work isolating a score though from multiple channels, so I really appreciate any effort.
Keep us updated 🙂
Its been a while now, thought I might ask…
I will upload it here soon if people are interested
I will upload it here soon if people are interested
Is it SFX free?

Is it SFX free?
That’s the one that I posted a while back, I think it was my first upload/share. I’ve been told it’s fake, but I still listen to it. Also, it’s 27 tracks – not 28. I suppose I can re-up it.
I think the 28 tracks is the same as Piano’s post, there’s one additional track You could be mine. Thread 73763

So, this is a FAN-made?
If the extra bits are fanmade, I must say they sound great as I watched the movie a week ago to compare…
I can make it a 29 track and throw in Bad to the Bone then 😉

You can even make it 30 tracks by adding Dwight Yoakam’s awful Guitars, Cadillacs lol
What, you don’t like guitars, Cadillacs and hillbilly music?
Any sentence containing the word "hillbilly" and I hear the banjo from Deliverance.

And that’s a movie I only need to see once. Never again.

So you still going to do it?

I noticed this older topic and I’d like to correct some things before they will get an own life.
HopeOfTheFuture did not rip the score himself. Someone else did. He only did the bonus tracks (19-25), mixed the live tracks into "a single concert feeling", gave the tracks the title names and created the artwork. It’s someone else who created the score, most likely by ripping it from the audio channels.
HopeoftheFuture’s isnt all its cracked up to be. Trust me.
Why HopeOfTheFuture can’t share (read again: can’t) is because of the agreement that was made with the other person who did the score part, which is the largest part of the soundtrack and their collaboration. It’s not that Hope is bad willed or so, it’s just the agreement that was made and since he gave his word, he will stick to it.

Believe what you want to believe. It does exist however.
Again, he didn’t extract it himself like said above. And about the sharing issue, see also above.
Thanks in advance
