Stuck on ff4 the land of summon monsters

Hi guys and gals, i have an annoying problem with this part of the game, Ok so iv done everything here except that when you arrive in the land of summon monsters you can see other parts of the place in the background that you can visit. after traveling into the actual town part where the weapon shop and library is i can quite distinctly see about 4 unopened chests in the background with a teleportation box as if i can teleport to that part from somewhere and open the chests. iv searched around everywhere and i cant for the life of me find where to teleport to this place, please help :S
