For this Sonic CD rip I used CD copies 1:1 and a Genesis Model 1/Sega CD Model 2 combo, only a file has been transcoded from a 128kbps MP3 for completeness.

I recently saw that there was another "Complete" rip of Sonic CD at the forums, I’m reposting my rip because this one has something I think only a few have figured out: the mystery of the hidden PCM tracks. If you listen to beta 715, most CD tracks are suddenly cut in the end, this has to do something with those PCM, I believe they were intended to produce looping music. I was able to do that looping in most tracks but some appear to work not the loop but to fade the tracks.

I’ve just downloaded the trial version of Sonic CD for XBLA and found out they also looped the music with the hidden PCM samples just like I did and not like the 20th Anniversary Soundtrack.

Sadly no one’s managed to open up the data.rsdk file yet to get at the music.
