Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 – Additional Tracks

I know this stuff exists, but I’m always sayin’ more download links won’t hurt. This is actually my rip, and a recording. It has 34 tracks that were not included in the official OST. I actually made this and uploaded some 3 months ago and totally forgot about it.

I’m providing only mp3 version, some higher quality settings or codec is not needed because of following reasons: original music game files are very lossy ATRAC (music is located in file "stream_bgm.xws" and it’s only 121 MB, even when you consider the tracks are looped, total of 60+ tracks packed in that size has to be lossy. When playing them (from ps3 with audio output feed to the pc), you can find more evidence: first major frequency cutoff is already at 14000 Hz, second cutoff is at 18000 Hz, with very little data between 14 and 18kHz, and above 18000 Hz, there’s almost no data, plus you can see compression blocks without a big zoom in the spectral view of programs like Adobe Audition.

And yeah, I know x360 version of the game has almost all of these tracks, but I never played ng 2 on x360, so they are new to me 🙂

And yet another note, just to eliminate possible confusion: tracks named in audio test in the game as "Deadly Conflict" and "Limitless Power" are actually included in official OST as "Red" and "Path of the Ninja" respectively. Why they have different names in the game and ost, beats me….

I’m confused. So how much of it is new, and how much of it isn’t? The difference between the original NG2 OST and the Sigma 2 OST was largely that tracks had been renamed.

Like I said, none of these tracks is included in Sigma 2 OST (TRACKLIST (http://vgmdb.net/album/14394)), but they are present in x360 gamerips and such… I guess if you compare the x360 version, really new tracks are only Jintsuriki ~Sigma Mix~, Evil Spirit March ~Sigma Mix~, Magic Night.

Are you sure they aren’t just, like I said, the same tracks with the names changed? Because I’m pretty sure they are…

31 tracks are in Sigma 2 OST, 34 tracks weren’t included in the OST, and that’s what I’m offering in this thread. Altogether (OST and this) is 65 tracks without any duplicates for Sigma 2. Specifically composed/remixed tracks for Sigma version are Jintsuriki and Evil Spirit March, (Sigma Mix in their name indicates this) and I also think Magic Night is completely new. That’s the best possible explanation I can give, especially since I never downloaded x360 music rip. You also can download this single link file, and see what’s what, or you may choose not to. It’s really your choice.

Just a quick question – have you ever thought about ripping the Resistance series? Awesome music and I bet you’d do a really nice job. 🙂

I’m not doing any kind of rip at the moment and don’t know when will continue with ripping really.

I’m sure you’ll find already posted Resistance rips here on the forums though.

The complete soundtracks (official and fan rips) are available here (Thread 65596). There are six new tracks that were added in to Sigma 2.

Yes, I know that Sigma 2 specific tracks are Fuga, El Diablo, Sense of Mission, Jintsuriki ~Sigma Mix~, Evil Spirit March ~Sigma Mix~, Magic Night. Three of them are on the OST, other three are here and that makes my OST upload & gamerip just as complete as yours, no offense.
