Any chance you have a lossless version?
There are many soundtraks to jidaigeki films and tv series. I posted one a few days ago (Harakiri: Death of a Samurai), that stylistically shares some similarities to this, with a predominance of synthesizers creating an overall serious and grave tone.
But that are other scores with a more optimistic tone, for example the NHK taiga dramas are full of lovely moments and adventurous themes, and most of them played by an orchestra instead of synths.
Apart of these are the scores of samurai related film that have prevalence of traditional instruments, by such composers like Fumio Hayasaka, Toru Takemitsu or Masaru Satoh.
You can find many of them posted around in the forum 🙂
😉
I Third that. A re-upload please. 🙂
Edit:
It was my "I think I like Koji Endo sound" thing that lead me to want to listen this. And God, it’s awesome. I am much more used to Koji Endo horror sound compositions, but it is always good to see(hear) when a composer goes in another completely different take.
I was impressed, and I was surprised. Definitely going to take a chance seeing the movie. I hope it’s any good. :p
Thanks.
In 12 hours I might at home. xD
