majoras second form. the way he runs, and the music makes it even creepier.
fixed.
SH is candyland in comparison
play the game.
For me, Project Zero (or Fatal Frame as its called in some countries), whilst not in itself all that scary a game, has great sound effects (namly some truly bloodcurdling screams of rage from the enemies) that really sell the boss fights.
The one against Junsei Takamine’s ghost in the garden shrine is a good example, and his ghost looks ace too. The other one I remember was the ghost of the old Master. He wears a demonic face mask, wields a samurai sword, and is generally scary as hell *and* pretty tough to beat too.

And it’s from the same game…
So yeah, I think Abstract Daddy wins for me. It may not look so scary, but it’s so fucking twisted that it gets me.
the enemies are not creepy if you base it solely on screenshots.
play the game.
I’ve played the game, and I Incline to agree partially. I disagree that it makes SH look like Candyland in comparison. But they’re definetly twisted and scary looking. A LOT MORE THAN ANY SHADOW HEARTS GAME…
play the game.
Why does it make a difference if I base it on screenshots? I take it back and I’ll say that they’re about on par with one another, but I still don’t see how it makes a difference. Is it because Koudelka’s a darker game in general? I definitely got that out of the gameplay vids I’ve seen of Koudelka (I’ve no interest in playing the game, myself).
I’m not sure that… thing from Silent Hill 2 is all that scary, but it is an utter swine. The first time I saw one, I was so busy trying to work out what it was, it caught me with its instant death melee attack. Needless to say, I wasn’t impressed.
the game is average/below average.
it is in no way a good game. it has a massive amount of flaws.
however, there are two things that are actually good things: the costumizeable character stats, build them like you want. and, a personal point, the music. sure it really has only 4 tracks (random battle, boss battle, final boss first form, final boss second form) minus the credits and another theme (a grand total of 6, the ost list about 30, which are mostly 30 second long ambients). but those 6 tracks are AMAZING.
Agreed…
That’s even the saddest thing… Yuri can be even less likeable than anything in FFX.

At this point he’s just an iconic monster in the series that fans enjoy, but it pays to judge him solely on his original intention.
Thanks for reviving my childhood torment…
She’s over the top and really fast, tough and hard hitting as she runs about past various blinds that open and shut. You already had to survive a tough fight with her in the parking lot in Pt. 1 of the level, so when you face her here, you’re screaming for her to die.
And then she does die. She collapses in a heap, and the cutsey OTT anime face she had, turns out to be a mask which slips off. Underneath, she’s just this regular young woman who was abused and brainwashed by the psycho who owns the house, until she became this crazy killer. All the blinds go up, throwing stark light onto her lifeless body – a young girl that you just shot to death.
Its a genuinely disturbing sight, because like I say, seconds earlier, you were in full ‘Its just a game, die you bitch, diiieee!!!’ mode.
Killer7 is such an awesome game. Terrible gameplay and controls, but the experience is honestly like nothing else I’ve ever played.
