John Barry did not always carpet a film with a score…. much like Out of Africa he knew when to add music and when to let the story uncoil without embellishment. This is one of his most outstanding soundtracks and possibly the children of today have not seen the film (Glenda Jackson reprising her role as the British Queen as she had earlier done in in the masterful series ELIZABETH R) and thus have missed something special. Take advantage of Mr. Park’s offering (may I call you Wildwood? ;-))… or evil fairies will steal all the coins under your pillows tonight.
