Just to let you all know, Marty Davich did not write the opening title theme. He only wrote the end title.

The opening title is just a small segment of music pulled from the Dulce Pontes arrangement of the song "Cano do Mar".

The DVD for seasons 2, 3 and 4 replaced it with a similar-sounding theme. Happens all the time, licensed songs not being cleared for home release of TV shows.

As for the show itself…SouthLAnd is one of the BEST FUCKING SHOWS on television. Period. Just last night I was watching a marathon of the uncensored versions. Not entirely uncensored though. They uncensored the language but stuff is still digitally blurred out like nudity and other "graphic content".
