Even More Contraptions Game Freezes

I’m not sure if anyone here knows the The Return of the Incredible Machine: Contraptions and Even More Contraptions games, but on Even More Contraptions, I have 23 homemade contraptions back from 2007, 2008, or 2009 — I can’t remember, exactly. I just started playing it again recently.

Anyway, I got the urge yesterday to finally start making more homemade contraptions, so I started one, which took me several hours, mostly because my idea on how it work would kept changing.

Anyway, I get so close to finishing it and it freezes / crashes and didn’t recover, so I close it with the "Task Manager", and that was really strange, because it’s never crashed before — ever! However, since I’ve installed it again, I noticed that it gets random freezes.

I don’t what the cause is. I know it’s not my PC, because I still have Windows XP like I did back then.

If anyone could provide help, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
