Thanks in advance!

It’s a marvellous score though… Utterly marvellous. I was going to post news about this in the Orchestral thread.

Please can you tell me where to get your news about that? I recently saw/heared a snippet of the recordings and it sounded … utterly marvellous!
The score is kind-of Danny Elfman’s Batman meets 80s John Williams, with a passing nod to Zimmer’s Dark Knight – but Brett takes the basic idea and expands it into classical minimalism, rather than the cheap dried out cliched muck that Zimmer and co come out with…
James Brett is an amazing guy. A real working class Londoner, common as muck accent (same as mine) and a superlative orchestrator and a wonderful composer as well.
So, I suppose it’s to be expected that he spends most of his time doing "additional music" for Thomas Wanker and orchestrating various crap scores by other people – thankfully, with the occasional Batman, Disney Stores (unreleased) thrown in for good measure…

Have you seen the show or heared the music elsewhere?
And, btw, I’m not too enthusiastic about Zimmer’s scores for the last two Batmans too. It works in the films for some reasons, but I have no fear a score like Brett’s approach would have made a mess out of it. 🙂
James Brett is an amazing guy.
From what I’ve seen in the video I would say so, a down-to-earth person.

Well, after listening to the examples on his homepage I hope he’ll get more opportunities. It’s all about to make a living, but someone with those skills shouldn’t waste his time with crap scores or as a ghost writer for someone else ideas.
Exciting news! Brett mentioned in an interview the score will be released during the North American tour this year. We’re just a few month away from it.
From what I read over the internet there’s is a liscensing hurdle for that kind of live show recording, hope it is sorted out in a few month or so.
There’s good and bad news. Unfortunately I don’t remember where it was announced but it is spoilage anyway, no release in sight. So far the bad news. But the composer seems to have an interest to get it released, so we have to stay tuned for a while until it’s happen.

As for the actual release, James has said "I have spent months trying to sort the CD situation out – it has even been mastered, ready to go. However, no luck."
