just wanted to add a quick one since it was pretty hard to find all 6 current Terraria tracks in same quality/source/codec. So i did it myself and cut them accurately, because I actually like the music. The files stored inside the *.xwb file are anything but normal XBox ADPCM standard, so it turned out to be quite a hassle.
Regardless, I thought there MIGHT be other ppl who actually like the soundtrack, despite reading about all the ppl who dislike it for oh so many reasons.
Anyways, all 6 current songs are included..:
~update jun 25th~ added Jungle theme, now 7 songs in total.
Title
Day
Night
Underground

Jungle
The Soundtrack is available in Ogg vorbis (q7.77) and LAME MP3 (V0)..:

Have fun listening…

It’s like there’s a few "skipping" involved in your provided Tracks – As if you recorded them & your system was too slow for fluent recording and gameplay or something.
But you said you extracted the Tracks from the original XWA files though :/
I will personally fire up the game & record the tracks myself in WAV/FLAC shortly. Listening very closely to them and see if there are really any differences like that as to what I noticed in your Tracks (the skipping).
I first thought that It would be a conversion issue, because everytime I convert the files, the skippping ends up at the exact same places…
But, when listening to the music ingame, theire not there. So the only possibility is that the converter has some issues converting the files properly…
So the only alternative would be recaording it while having the game open, but that would include the fact that its a lossy conversion and you would have to cut the loops precisely, because just having one loop would not be enough for listening to the soundtrack 😀
But now there is no need to make a recording at all. They released the soundtrack for purchase from Bandcamp – Re-Logic (http://re-logic.bandcamp.com/)
There is 13 Tracks included in either MP3/FLAC/AAC/ALAC (forgot what other formats are available). It costs $5.
I suppose I could upload the FLAC version for you "cheap people" later if anyone wants them. Nope, no popping/crackling etc etc lol.

If I see no replies about wanting me to upload these tracks, I guess no one is interested enough lol
I have scoured the net for a way to rip Terraria’s audio. leidenK never did go into the technical details, but I’d like to know how.
I’ve made 20+ musicpacks for Terraria 1.2. I edit each track so that they would loop smoothly/logically in-game.
I need to update them for Terraria 1.3 but I lost the raw WAVs I used in a Steam-related accident. That’s hours of work I don’t want to do again. I want to crack open the .xwbs I made so I can just add the new songs and be done several days sooner. However, the ripped audio files remain hypercompressed and unplayable by anything I throw them at.
Not even the main Terraria forum has given responses to my issue. Can anyone help??
Different game but it uses the same file format.

Yes. :[ Same format supposedly, but the ripped files still refuse to be recognized by anything. They definitely won’t play in VLC as promised. Any audio-reading program tells me that the play length is 1 second, stuff like that.
