I said I liked this soundtrack when it came out… now… I dislike this soundtrack. Problem? I got to know Sawano’s music to much for my health, and I learned that I don’t actually like his compositions and sound style. I avoid any of his music nowadays, to avoid my ears to bleed.
Sawano lives from fanboys. And fanboys eat every shit he does, even if it’s the worst thing he ever composed. I don’t get why so much fuss about an artist that I don’t feel anything with his music. Just, bland music… nothing more. :/

Personally, Hiroyuki Sawano is my current favorite music composer. The reason for this is that his sound style is completely different from practically every composer out there. As an avid VGM/anime soundtrack junkie, I’ve listened to a lot of different styles and nothing comes close to the grand, epic compositions that showcases how much effort Sawano puts in to evoke the right amount of awe. But yeah, a lot of the songs on each of his albums can be considered stock music, and in that regard I would completely agree with you if not for a number of select favorites of mine…
BLAZE from Sengoku Basara, MAD-NUG from Gundam Unicorn, Kill nara Kiru from KILL la KILL, Ready to Go from Guilty Crown, Body Motion from Attack on Titan, and Battle Scars from Blue Exorcist: The Movie, to name a few.
Hopefully these demonstrate the better side of his works. =]
