This is a 1970 compilation by Barry himself. It consists of rerecorded versions of many of his most popular themes written up to that point.

My personal favorite is his jazzy reworking of The Lion in Winter theme.

Really, i only heard the theme on its original form, with all those trumpets and chorus. I’m curious to hear it in a jazzy interpretation, because i don’t have the slightest idea how it will sound like this way :p

Thanks so much for this. I only have a mid-quality rip that I grabbed and split up from YouTube. This is an absolutely essential record for John Barry fans. It’s such a treat to hear him re-arranging his own music like this. The Lounge Legends CD compilation does a great job of compiling his later 70s re-recordings, including a fantastic version of Diamonds Are Forever.
