This one has been a labor of love for me and has required a LOT of searching for various sources, but I’ve finally been able to create a deluxe edition soundtrack for Disney’s underrated 1998 classic Mulan.

There are two ways this can be burned – you can either burn each disc as numbered and separated in this tracklisting OR you can burn the entire first disc and tracks 1-10 of disc 2 to one CD and the rest of disc 2 to another. I prefer having two discs of almost equal length, which is why I divided them the way I did, but if you prefer the complete score on one CD and the bonus tracks on another, it’ll work that way as well. The FLAC version will contain .cue files with both configurations – V1 has two discs of equal length, V2 has the film score on one CD and bonus tracks on another.

I tried to make all tracks be around the same volume, but some tracks may still be slightly louder than others. Sadly, the bootleg is a bit louder than the soundtrack CD or Academy promo, so I could only do my best to try to make those match the score and make the songs a bit louder, as they seemed quieter than the score pieces sometimes. Hopefully I’ll be able to redo this in the future and improve upon it. There’s also a bootleg out there with even more alternate cues, and if I ever get hold of it, there’ll be another revision of this as well.

This is an instrumental version of Reflection performed by Vanessa Mae, and appears in the 14 track version of the original soundtrack. It is not part of the end credits, unless there is a different version of the end credits of the movie, which i’m not aware.

shoshot, I just upped/downed certain tracks in Goldwave. I think I lowered the tracks from the bootleg by about 2 dB and raised the volume of the songs 1-2 dB.

Sanico, thanks for that info. I think Vanessa Mae’s instrumental was on some international soundtrack CD’s, but I just have the American 12-track CD so I can’t compare to make sure. I’ll just assume this is Vanessa Mae’s track and retag it as such.

18. Jerry Goldsmith – Suite From Mulan (Alternate) (6:06) is actually track 21 from Magical Musicals by Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.

Switching the channels isn’t hard, I was just asking if it’s necessary. You said yourself that one of the archives got corrupted somehow. Just re-download it and extract again.
