sure! PLZ! GIMME!
and damn orange – where did u get the prebuild???
argh! Need a blues clue
Seriously? It sounds so terribly generic to me. I mean, it’s all electronic ambient. What tracks here make this one of the greatest scores of all time? What tracks are engagig – have memorable, recognizable themes and tunes? Has an impact on your emotions, floors you with the complexity of it’s writing?
Well for me the memorable ones are the main theme which is in the credits and the intense combat themes with the guitars/drums and electronics. I mean you’d have to play the game to really appreciate the dynamic and itneractivity of the score to really understand it. Listen to back alley and exploration combat tracks.
Boss themes are quite interesting as well.
Boss themes are quite interesting as well.
That is all fine and all, but let’s be realistic here. If we have to say that you have to appreciate how a score works from within a game in order to see how good it is, then you can’t say it is one of the best game scores of all time. The theme from Mario Bros. is a great score, because it is memorable both within and outside of it’s source material. The score for Advent Rising is great, regardless of if you are listening to it in-game outside.
Besides, most of the tracks here are pretty forgettable. Hardly a candidate for "one of the best game scores ever".
i heard something about square enix being involved so thats why i checked the thread.
That’s a bunch of horse shit. Western composers have done some of the best music of all time. Your country of origin has no bearing on the quality of your music: it is all about your skill.

You can’t categorize western scores as being generic, They may not have the most memorable or outstanding themes as eastern japanese stuff but most western scores are pretty good. Also just cuz square enix publishes doesn’t mean theres gonna be some overrated hyped up eastern composer in it.
What do you mean by that OJ? Both sides of the equator have produced scores with boring and memorable themes alike.
Eastern composers fluctuate just as much as their Western counterparts. Princess Mononoke enters the dark realm on several occasions, as does Noein, Break Blade, Casshan Legemds, Death Note, and of course RAN (amongst hundreds of others I can’t think of right now).
You two are the bosses, many thanks!
Fucking a man!
This should be plain obvious to all individuals out there at this point of history.
Oh and, the score is pretty sweet!
Well, can’t argue with that.
/thread
In the new upload (page 2 of the thread) it is track #13 (Sarif Plant – Interior Combat).
I’m sure I heard this guitar tune somewhere before.
You can here it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNESA8dEPPM&feature=channel_video_title
Haha! I know it from Inception. Take a look here:
and big thanks to oj as well for opening my eyes to DX beta which is UTTERLY AWSUM!!!!!
Anyone knows how long it is? Traversing streets of detroit now…
and on the score – this rip isnt complete and you would have to listen to arranged score to assess its true quality outside the game… Personally I just love the menu ambient.
It’s no beta but preview for press. Less than 10 hours and that’s not the whole chapter 1, I think.

No idea what are you guys talking about, I think it’s pretty obvious that japanese don’t know shit about writing music, nor do americans, only russians know whats up!

Here is the bms script, extracted files have no names so you will have to look through the assets manualy.
But the first part of ingame music is a bullshit. 3 hours of boredom.
Huge disappointment 🙁

thanks, i’m familiar with bms. this will come in handy.
McCan didn’t release a complete score, just re-edits. The most complete score is included in PC version.
I also wondered same thing, but then looked in previous page and:
O.J’s Rip, mp3 v0 with corrected tags (updated since I posted tracklist), in (somewhat) game order, etc. (http://www.multiupload.com/RRLSYJB4H9)
That one works. Thanks Machionic, I love this soundtrack and I played the prebuild and it’s freaking awesome. I haven’t seen any game on this magnitude of coolness released in years!
Does anyone know which cue in this is the UNACTO reprise ?
As seen here:

Been listening to this thanks to Machionic – but can’t find it.
From Internet. Usual forum policy wouldn’t allow to discuss this more. I don’t know about this one but don’t wanna risk.
The last 4 or 5 in-game trailer have used in-game music (Eidos has said so on their forums), and virtually none of it is included in these files. Example of one trailer:

Opening Credits

Until the actual soundtrack and or game comes out, this is a total waste of time.

Why are you complaining? Nobody forced you to listen to this.

Well hey at least its something until the full game comes out, If you don’t like it then download.
I see the irony.
I seriously hope you are right, ’cause 30 minutes of score is just DISGRACE considering the supposed length of the game.
*fingers crossed*
He thinks it’s different 😉
