Carl Davis – The Thief of Bagdad (1924) & other silent films

There was a fantastic post from scorefun with Carl Davis’ music for several silent films (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/big-orchestral-action-music-thread-57893/222.html#post1489145), but the links are no longer working unfortunately.

Is there any chance for the re-upload? I would especially love to have the score for The Thief of Bagdad (1924). It would be much appreciated!

I used to have an old lp (long gone…) of Carl Davis’ music for silent films some of which was actually written for the British 1980 doc. "Hollywood" – about the silent film era…and included a beautiful main theme that I hope is on this Thief of Bagdad disc.

Yeah, "Hollywood" is a great doc (some episode can be found on youtube)!

As to my knowledge The Thief of Bagdad with Davis’ score was only published on a now out-of-print VHS or laserdisk. I guess the score was ripped from it (there is no official OST).
This version now seems to be unavailable unfortunately. 🙁
