Requesting some obscure Final Fantasy game rips

Hey, I’d like to request some rather obscure Final Fantasy game rips (I’m pretty sure none of these have an official soundtrack). I don’t know the composers for all of them, but here’s what games I’m looking for.

Crystal Defenders (?)
Crystal Defenders: Vanguard (?)
Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord (Kumi Tanioka)
Hataraku Chocobo (Yoko Shimomura)
Chocobo Stallion (?)
Chocobo’s Crystal Tower (?)
Final Fantasy Legends: Hikari to Yami no Senshi/Final Fantasy Legends: Warriors of Light and Darkness (Naoshi Mizuta)

Could someone either locate tracks for me or rip these games themselves? Thank you so very much in advance.

Oh, and by My Life as a Darklord, I’m not talking about the King/Darklord EP, but an actual game rip.

This might get a little too technical than many people care to read, but I’ll explain things so anyone who cares to know will.

Here (http://www.multiupload.com/D17MH4R6TB) is Chocobo Stallion and Hataraku Chocobo. Both were written by Yoko Shimomura. I simply converted the PSFs with foobar’s UPSE component and I ripped the XA tracks myself. There were several extra XAs that are short, very similar tracks that really weren’t necessary. With Hataraku Chocobo, I converted the WSR rip to WAV and edited the tracks. Sorry, no track titles.

The first Crystal Defenders, at least for PSP, simply uses the same tracks as on the Tactics A2 OST, no Tactics Advance versions used. Exactly the same, just converted to looping AT3 format. The tracklist is:

I don’t have Vanguard Storm, but I do have Crystal Defenders R1 for WiiWare, ripped by, I think, bxaimc at hcs64.com (http://hcs64.com/mboard/forum.php), and it has new arrangements of pieces from Tactics A2, some of them pretty different from the source material. The Basiscape website says that Yoshimi Kudo and Mitsuhiro Kaneda did the work on this and the other Crystal Defenders games. They’re just in pretty bad sound quality. I resampled the 24kHz .dsp tracks to 48kHz because it’s an even multiple that’s compatible with MP3. I also extracted (without transcoding or re-encoding) the audio from the demo videos on the Vanguard Storm website, which are some very unexpected new arrangements. They’re the only new pieces of music on the Crystal Defenders site. The Japanese version of the second video had better sound quality, so that’s what I used. I uploaded Crystal Defenders R1 and the demo tracks here (http://www.multiupload.com/KZB6SQHTWD).

I can upload any of these in FLAC if you want.

4 Warriors of Light and Darkness did have an official release, and you can download it here (http://anonym.to/?http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KZK2VQ84). The game rip doesn’t sound much different, only slightly inferior, so no point in going for it. Sorry, can’t help with My Life as a Darklord.

Also, btw. Four Warriors of Light is a different game than Warriors of Light and Darkness. I’m pretty sure that download link was to Four Warriors of Light (Which is a DS game, whereas WoLaD is a cellphone game. Here’s hoping for a WiiWare or other US release!)

Oh, I forgot to say, Chocobo’s Crystal Tower seems to just have repeats of previously released Final Fantasy tracks, and only partial and in really bad sound quality at that. There’s "Opening Theme" from FF1, "Farm Boy" from FF7, "Chocobo Theme" from FF2 and "Gloom" (or "Darkness" depending on the translation) from FF10 and that’s all I saw to extract, but I didn’t really play it. Do you know if there is anything new in it? The MP3s are only 32kbps, 22kHz, and mono. As I said, really bad quality and they’re all shortened to be about a minute long. The FF1 and 2 tracks are the NES versions, not from FF Origins.

Sorry, didn’t realize you were talking about a different game with the Warriors of Light and Darkness one, since it’s Mizuta too and the similar names. I’d never even heard of it before, actually. Yeah, I have no way to rip a Japan-only cell phone game, sorry. :laugh:

Well, someone must have, because I’ve seen the music up on Youtube. I downloaded the videos and created a temporary game rip from the music within, but if anyone can actually get an actual rip, I would be ever so grateful.

OK, Chocobo’s Crystal Tower is off the list, in that case. Unless someone here has actually played it and seen an original composition within.

And I’m still trying to figure out where the music files are for My Life as a Darklord…I can’t find them in the ROM, only the sound effects. If anyone can help me, I’d be really appreciative!

And again, if anyone wants my Youtube-rip of WoLaD’s music, or at least some of WoLaD’s music, seeing as it’s being released in chapters (Like The After Years was) so I only have music for chapters that have been released…if anyone wants it, please tell me. Thank you!
