I’m currently playing around with the game’s files and I will upload
some of the cues to shorten the waiting time until the full game arrives.

The cues are very rough (low quality, looped), but I hope they help to get a feeling for the upcoming game/soundtrack.

I found two additional files that contain hours of music, have you included them also? I haven’t heard enough to be sure if the cues presented there are unique.

Highest I have seen was 128kbps. If they scaled down the bitrates to get all the motion capture data and cutscenes on the disc, I’m pissed. Heavy Rain was a letdown already, now this.

What are the files? i still have disc 1 so i can take a peek.

Both seem to be MP3 files. Both run 06:06:53 and 09:47:16 and contain score, songs (original and licensed) and sfx. Could also be that my extractor didn’t split them properly. However, some cues seem to be similar to each other.

Nope it extracts wrong, the files in the audio file are fsb banks, need a hex editor or fsb scanner to extract them then convert the fsb’s with towav.

Thanks, used one and it extracted only one FSB. It’s working now with another tool.

In the ps3 version, they are stored in a file audio.big.ps3 mmeste with sfx (format fsb) – if you open this file in a text editor, you can even find the names of songs (peggylee_imconfessin.wav, texwilliams_smoke_cigarette_in and others)

someone said that you can retrieve them using the Hex Editor, and then – through towav.
Personally, I tried directly through towav and it has learned only the first file in the archive.

I can put up all the files (including original filenames), if you want. However, the score tracks have not their original names chosen by the composers but the place they are placed in. And I’m hesitating posting the licensed songs of the era because of the bad quality they are stored on the disc. It’s probably more satisfying when I post the song names and their performers and we get them through their official releases.

The official release of all licensed tracks will not. Quality tracks 80 kb / s will be in all versions – in the PS3 version too. I think that that is license to place the composition in any quality – hundreds of people searching for them and I think it will be very necessary.

I’m interested in the "main theme", a song composed by Andrew Hale. They’re selling it also on the official soundtrack, but only the 3 min. version. In the game, there is a much longer version. You can hear it when you’re in the games menue. I think it should be more than 80kbs, because it sounds like more on the ps3 (the other songs are radio songs in the game, I think, so they didn’t feel the need to get a better quality on the disc). If you could find and extract the main theme for me, I would appreciate it.

It is possible in theory, but I didn’t keep the files except the score.
