Back when the score for Batman Begins was released, everyone came down on Hans Zimmer for not giving Batman a proper theme to represent him. He said that the "theme" was in the end credits suite, and that Batman hadn’t earned it yet. He didn’t get it in the Dark Knight either because he was still developing as a character. Now that the Dark Knight Rises has been confirmed, Again we are left to wonder, will Hans give Batman that "theme"? It would fit the movie because the Dark Knight is "Rising" above crime and corruption in Gotham City. And Hans himself has described the score as "Epic and Iconic" So, will the Dark Knight finally get his musical representation in the Dark Knight Rises?

I hope so. Wouldn’t mind a memorable score to go along with the film.

He also said he didn’t want a distinct melody that people can imitate so easily. He said he wanted everyone to have a hard time trying to whistle it.
Danny Elfman’s theme, easily whistable.

zimmer was smart to create a theme that was 180 degrees from elfman’s… that being said, listen closely to ‘i’m not a hero’ (:11-:17)… nice homage, methinks.

I love both of the themes, due to the fact they arent interchangeable. One for realistic, mostly by the book Christian Bale Batman; The other for the murderous Michael Keaton Batman (But I still love him 🙂 )
