thanks Chief Dundee for his upload
Thanks for the FLAC upgrade.
Saw your post on HZ forum. Im still doing this, will post it when I can!
So far, I’ve taken the DTS track and performed a dissection. I also made a nice little score/song edit. I’ll PM you. 🙂
Thanks Takehiro. The link that I had from Chief Dundee’s site was disappointed… the pitch and speed is somewhat of a PAL version throughout the entire soundtrack.
Saw the movie when I was a kid and haven’t heard the music since then. Awesome
Probably true enough but I wouldn’t know where to start. Gotta be careful out there in the "wild west" so to speak.
Google search is the single most important tool we have… that and the human mind !.
And that’s how I ended up finding a "safe haven" like this place. 🙂
– a blu-ray rip (DTS) of the opening freed from sfx
– an edited version of I’ll be holding on (Not the film version, sorry)
– the custom cover as SVG – free to scale, free to edit
tell me what you think …

I hope in flac version
Thanks

Same link. Thanks who ?
Chief Dundee. But it has been around for much longer … 🙂
I posted no files as my own, its only a link in wich maybe someone interested.
Look pal, we’re not gonna know that unless you say that up front. Understand ?.
Does this mean that all the threads you started are simply other people’s links ?.
So what?
Sorry 1000 times for posting a soundtrack link which maybe still existing here. what a crime?
Im new her and I dont know all holy laws of this forum and I will never post a link again.
Also @ The Dimensioner. We don’t need that kind of argumentation. A simple reminder is enough.
Woah…You just merged Stoi’s thread with the original. That’s some wizardy admin magic going on!

As an addition to La-La Land’s great edition, here (Thread 122382) is the true version of Black Rain’s opening music performed by Gregg Allman.
BLACK RAIN: LIMITED EDITION (2-CD SET) LLLCD 1229
Music by Hans Zimmer
Limited Edition of 3000 Units
STARTS SHIPPING SEPT. 25th
RETAIL PRICE: $24.98
ORDER "BLACK RAIN: LIMITED EDITION (2-CD SET)" starting Sept 25 at 1pm PST at www.lalalandrecords.com (http://www.lalalandrecords.com).
La-La Land Records, Capitol Records and Paramount Pictures proudly present the expanded and remastered 2-CD SET of acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer’s (THELMA & LOUISE, SHERLOCK HOLMES, INCEPTION, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES) original score to the 1989 culture-clash cop/actioner BLACK RAIN, starring Michael Douglas, Andy Garcia and Ken Takakura, and directed by Ridley Scott. Zimmer’s pulse-pounding score would become a sonic blueprint for action film scoring throughout the 90’s and well into the present. Finally, as produced by Dan Goldwasser and mastered by Doug Schwartz, BLACK RAIN gets its much-deserved and expanded deluxe treatment, presenting Zimmer’s film score on Disc 1 and the original, remastered 1989 album presentation on Disc 2, along with bonus tracks and alternate cues that include the main title version of the opening song "I’ll Be Holdin’ On." Tim Grieving’s exclusive, in-depth liners take you behind the film and its iconic score. This is a limited edition of 3000 Units.

Telling from running length of Disc one, it’s pretty complete or at least as complete as the old hissy bootleg was. I really hope they include that li’l opening tune (either CD1/Track1 or CD2/Track18 or maybe among some of the unused stuff).

cover: neat
sound: clear
🙂
and: it has the intro. YAY! 😀
hope a flac version of this ost
EPIC!!!! Any plans on sharing them (mp3 @320kbps, FLAC, or m4a) later tonight?
So fast? And you live in Spain??
Mine perhaps next week?… Or possibly the week after next.
Should be interesting to listen the LLL release before the disc arrives.

Let’s see how much this lasts. Cause peeje has been playing up for some time now…..
To each his own.
You need the CD for starters.
You basically rip your CD in WAV…
Then you download FLAC FRONTEND : FLAC – download (http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html)
Then you open your wave files in Flac Frontend, and you just "encode" them, tadaaaaaa !
If you have any trouble with it, I’m around !
BTW if you do manage to download and install FLAC, put the "Encoding Option" level to 8… Files will take some time to create, but they’ll be smaller. If you put to level one, they’ll create very fast but the files will be huge ! Though it’s just a detail, it has no consequences to the overhall product !
