giacchino’s ratatouille and speed racer also immediately come to mind…
at the moment I cannot come up with a movie I found bad and loved the score….(lots of scores I like and do not know the movie)

two more no-brainers: burwell’s twilight and jablonsky’s elm street…
Powell’s X-Men 3: The Last Stand
Zimmer and Horn’s Toys
Steve Jablonsky’s score on "D-Wars – Dragon Wars"…it may have just been the only saving grace to that movie (sadly even that score wouldn’t be noticed as the sound effects diminished it to oblivion). I recall not having been able to finished watching it as It became to unbearable for me to go even further.
I quite liked ‘Lady In The Water’ too. π
It dared to be different and fresh compared to most Hollywood blockbustery types.
On that note….
"The Last Airbender" (JNH)
"Mimic" (Beltrami)
"Timeline" (Tyler/Goldsmith)
"Sahara" (Mansell),
"The Brothers Grimm (Marianelli)
"Batman Forever" (Goldenthal)
"Hannibal" (Zimmer)
"The Cell" (Shore)
"The Haunting" (Goldsmith)
"The Wolfman" (Elfman)
"Star Wars I & II" (Williams)
"Eight Legged Freaks" (Ottma
"We Were Soldiers" (Glennie-Smith)
"Priest" (Young)
"House Of Flying Daggers" (Umebayashi)
……………..the list is endless….that’s one example from one composer.

Ratatouille!!! Really!!!!! (Movie I mean)

"Ratatouille" is Pixar’s finest effort to date.
I’ll echo the "Krull" and "Final Conflict" sentiments. The gulf of quality on "Krull" is so wide that the music is actually makes the film worse when you watch it (seems overblown), but on its own the score is absolutely glorious.

Agree!!!! And Final Conflict score is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
The Matrix Revolutions
Batman Forever
The Matrix Revolutions
Batman Forever
Yeah, I liked Don Davis’ Matrix scores, but the films were getting worse.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Yeah, the Twilight films were all done nicely, but they couldn’t hide the bad plots and storylines. Great music and scores.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
works the other way round too. i have several movies i really love, and would never ever listen to the score without watching the movie.,

I think you’re confused, my friend. The game is to name a terrible movie that has a great score. Surely you don’t think Exodus, aka the Greatest Epic Ever Made, is a clunker.
