Edit: or i guess you could say, he is exactly like him.
Can you also offer a scan of the booklet?
Considering the amount of requests lately, this should probably go in a signature: unfortunately i don’t have a scanner, so can’t help with scans, sorry folks.
The Black Mages are my favourite band, and I’m a pretty intense audio geek, so a lossless rip is exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you very much, good sir.
I know Kenichiro Fukui recorded and mixed for The Black Mages, and those records sound pretty god damned awesome, Maybe I’m a Lion is ridiculously well mixed song, all of instruments carve out their own niche, and they never fight with each other. The mixing on Octave Theory is making me go :/, and some of the recording choices are making me go :\. It’s a good record, and I enjoy it, but seriously, what’s with the guitar tone on some of these tracks?
Anyway, of course I don’t have a problem to check the booklet for ya, and can tell right of the bat — the recording and mixing engineer is Katsumi Sambongi. But you can also find all this and any additional info in on vgmdb page in their ‘Notes’ :
DERP-10015 | Octave Theory – VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/22775)
The booklet itself is only 4 pages long and that vgmdb page already covers every detail of it.
I was unawares that the VGMDB was a thing until right now, I will definitely be poking around there to figure out who recorded and mixed what and where, ’cause I am the kinda guy who needs to know these things. Thanks for the info, d00d.
