It’s about time I post one of my all time favorite scores. It is really special for me, because it is the only score I hold close to my heart which is not an orchestral tour de force. A score I instantly fell in love with the moment I first heared it in the show. Aria itself is already like a dream, a distant utopia where one can appreciate the wonders of life and find a moment of peace and happiness. Not to mention an almost flawless recreation of the city of venice with all of it’s charms and beauty. Thankfully the music not only fits the scenery perfectly but also becomes a living part of this world aswell. It is one of a kind, with many humable and memorable themes, emotional piano and string pieces and beautiful vocal tracks. I can not recommend it enough. This upload has every piece of music for the first series, all piano pieces, alterations of some tracks and live versions of the vocal tracks. I will upload the complete score for the second and third series as well when I have enough time.

The final score for this fantastic series, with the most emotional vocal track of the three. Many beautiful piano pieces and the usual melodic magic but all with a sense of closure.

@Akashi San: It took a while but it’s basically everything you will hear in the show, it’s the three soundtracks, two piano albums, one or two tracks from an eri kawai album, a live concert and additional bgm from this box (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=VTCL-60114) (which I regret not owning to this very day). Then I put the tracks to the correct season.

Looks like I’m not missing anything. 🙂

And you actually own that box? Why would you regret owning such a beauty?! I really wanted to purchase it, but it goes for about $250 now!

I was listening to this for the first time in several months. My thought is the same every time I listen: this is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, treasures that Japanese animation has given me in my life. I can’t think of any other anime soundtrack that is this unique and heartfelt in melodies. "Nanairo no Sora wo", for example, makes me cry every time at its sheer beauty and simplicity. Its lyrics are so subtle and innocent… It’s really hard to explain, but this soundtrack just feels extremely humanistic to me (what I value the most in life).

I didn’t mean to sound so dramatic or corny – just wrote down my thought at the moment… 🙂

One cannot be dramatic and corny enough when spreading the love that is ARIA and it’s music.
One of my life goals is to someday write and record an ARIA symphony. I don’t know when I will have enough time and money or how many years it will take me but I will definetly make it a reality.
Also found this little gem today ARIA – New World Symphony (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z35oyfyxobU) (major spoilers!), it combines the beautiful moments of the show with perhaps the most heartwarming piece of music I ever heared.
