* The music in both the Dreamcast and Playstation versions of the game is exactly the same. The files are different, though. The Dreamcast version was picked for its 44100hz ADPCM (ADX) over the PlayStation version’s 37800hz XA. The files were decoded with vgmstream’s test.exe, then encoded to FLAC. No quality is lost or gained in the conversion process.

I’m not familiar with the game at all, so the files are unordered, but they still have their original (very descriptive) names.

so were the files of this size when you ripped them from the DC version? or did they get large when you converted them to FLAC?

The original ADX files are smaller, but still larger than MP3s. They get larger when they’re decoded to WAV and recompressed as FLAC. Though nothing’s stopping you (or anyone else) from converting them to MP3s now.

Can you do a rip of "Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes" DC, that would be awesome.

Thank you very much for the re-upload! I may be a bit iffy with FLAC, but I have a converter for that. Now I can finally listen to this glorious soundtrack! 😀

If anyone is in need of an album art cover for this soundtrack, I made a quickie if anyone’s interested. No clue how to show this on the forums due to some error with the file size, but here’s the link if anyone’s interested! 😀

Pretty sure that since it’s a Dreamcast rip the Dreamcast version’s cover would be more suiting, but hey that’s just OCD playing up.

Why do people do pointless things like convert an MP3, or in this case, ADX, to FLAC?
All you really have is an MP3 or ADX file that’s large enough, and just make the file size about 5 times bigger. Why?
People don’t just like FLACs because the letters "FLAC" appear in the format. This is as pointless as when people upload videos of playing Game Boy games (160 x 144), render it as 3840×2160 on YouTube and call it "Let’s Play Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins in 4K"

well maybe because as there is no official soundtrack, is this case, we prefer a close thing to that… 😎

and this sounds great, although .adx is lossy… yep, also today we have hdds of 2tb to 8tb… and IMO, I really don’t mind about the size of an audio file… when its 16-bit flac. (24-bit is killer lol :))
