Ah, time to start a thread who did the best recording of The Planets! I’d say Karajan wipes the floor with most of the other conductors! 😉

Maybe they should ask William Stromberg for a try? And why am I always thinking of James Bond-supervillains when his name comes up… Insane effort to dominate the world of scores? 😉

EDIT: Finally listened to this version. Karajan’s version IS the better one. Sorry, John.

My own favourite (so far) is Andr� Previn’s with the LSO from the early 70s.

But I’d love to hear this one. A re-up would be very much appreciated.

I cannot access the internet via the home computer anymore. This means I cannot upload anything. It also means no downloading either..:( This is looking to be a semi-permanent situation. At least that is the outlook as of now. I can pop in via library etc, but only for social interaction.

I cannot. I have no home internet access, only library and such. As a result, I cannot upload anything. Sadly, I can also not download anything. :sad:. This may end up being a semi-permanent thing as I do not expect my financial crunch to change in the next few years. So my presence here is likely to be purely social for now on.
