All right, so I’ve been looking for the US version of Tidal Tempest Bad Future from Sonic CD, but every version I find cuts off the first 20 seconds or so of the tune. Does anyone have the full version of this tune? Just so you know, the version that’s found in the actual game IS the full version at 1 minute & 20 seconds. The one in Sonic The Hedgehog Boom is NOT (REPEAT, NOT) a full version, it is in fact an extended version. Don’t let that discourage you, though, as a fan of the game the tracks are a joy to listen to.

Really? Because I swore that the last time I went to the bad future it played the extended version. But whatever, either way the extended version is better.

Actually, I don’t think the song isn’t an extended version. They just shortened the length of the songs in game by adding a quick fade out and then trimming the rest out. Most likely due to space requirements.

Believe me, every article about this album mentions the songs as extended versions. If you listen closely to stardust speedway bad future, Tidal Tempest, or Quartz Future, you’ll hear some subtle differences between the original audio & the extra instruments. However, as I said before, don’t let this discourage you from listening to the album and enjoying it.
