Here’s this two disc set (originally uploaded by streichorchester) released in ’92 under Melodiya (now defunct) and performed by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Artistic Education Chorus, the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra, Valentina Levko and Vladimir Valaitis, all conducted by Mr. Kabalevsky himself. This collection’s already a relic, so help yourselves while it’s still hot!

If only Kabalevsky scored a video game, then this would see more love… 🙁

The disc 2 link is a dead end…

He screwed up the second link. add "download1978.mediafire.com/" after the http:// and you’re set. This is what you get when you do that:

Kabalevsky, Dmitri – Requiem, op.72; Symphony #4, op.54 (Disc 2).zip (http://www.mediafire.com/?g7jrla7q7bh3cre)

Try again, maelstrom69. I just went to Mediafire and replaced the link: it’s the same file, but it should work now. Apologies for the inconvenience: I can’t always predict how the links are gonna behave.

Right you are, streich! I’d pay to hear "Eternal Glory" booming with all its might and glory in a videogame: in fact, I might play something like "Call of Duty" and "Gears of War" just to listen to this criminally-underrated wonder. Hell, forget those two: a good Castlevania and Golden Axe game would be done wonders to thanks to these tunes! Too bad Mr. Kabalevsky’s long dead…

I am unable to get a download to activate for the first disk. The second one worked great. I am a novice at this. I’ve been looking to replace my lost vinyl copy of this for a very long time, and would so appreciate any assistance in accessing the first disk. Thank you.

Alas, when I tried again, I still got the empty download list. I tried with Safari and webkit on my Mac and no go. thanks for trying to fix the problem. I’ve cleared history. Don’t know what else I can try.
