According to VGMdb’s info, there was no CD release of the first Assassin’s Creed’s soundtrack.

I think this is the iTunes release (http://vgmdb.net/album/12921) converted to FLAC. iTunes Plus files (256kbps AAC codec with m4a extension) retain the full 22,000Hz spectrum, so they look like FLAC files in a frequency analysis.

I think this was the Qobuz FLAC release. They have some rare OSTs you can’t find anywhere else (in lossless).

Qobuz is French online music store, FLAC version is "vraie qualite CD".
