hey Naota, thanks for sharing this. I’ve listened to "Red Garden" and "Tales of Vesperia: First Strike" by Senju, and liked them a lot, have "Snow Queen" coming up next. I’m curious what this soundtrack is like? how does it compare, it is orchestral, what’s the style?

It’s a nice soundtrack and purely orchestral. The piano and the woodwind instruments are used quite often, sometimes with mandolin, harmonica and acoustic guitars, giving the music a vernal tone.
There are various instrumental versions of two original ABBA songs, SOS and Chiquitita. I like the SOS versions more than Chiquitita. The rest seems to be only original Senju music.

This was a good drama about high school love, with a wonderful score. It’s mainly orchestral variations of two ABBA songs, used to good effect during the TV show. The TV show also used vocal versions of the ABBA songs, but they are not included on this album. If you’d told me ahead of time a Japanese drama was scored almost entirely with ABBA, I would have thought it bizarre, but it works beautifully in the context of the series.
