ape is just another lossless format. not a big deal to me. it takes ~30 sec to convert the ablum losslessly to flac

Right, but Bill Brohn used the orchestration of the cantata for his reconstruction, which was enlarged from the version in the film. Later, Frank Strobel did use the original orchestrations for his complete recording on Haenssler – so that version is even closer to the actual film score.
