After finding out that Wizards & Warriors is not compatible with windows 7 I made a windows 98 virtual machine to play it on. Well it’s working, and now I want more windows 98 games, so give me your recommendations.

So far I have:
Might and Magic Series
Heroes of Might and Magic Series
Baldur’s Gate 2
Fallout 1&2
Diablo
Simcity 3000
Designasaurus 2
Chuck Yeager’s Air Combat

Might need to make a windows 95 machine for the last two, haven’t tried to get them working yet. Anyway more ideas!

Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight

Quake I & II

Jazz Jackrabbit II

Planescape: Torment

Icewind Dale

Hexen II

That’s all I can come up now…

Awesome Avatar man. I love those Clint Eastwood films.

I’d suggest getting some ‘GOG’ games and a DOSBOX – that should help.

Baldur’s Gate is also good.

Might also try:

The Last Express
Thief
Age of Empires
Jagged Alliance 2
Dungeon Keeper
Blade Runner
Unreal
System Shock 2
Arcanum
Messiah
Sacrifice
Deus Ex
Commandos
Dungeon Siege
No One Lives Forever
Heroes of Might and Magic 3

Civilization II. Which, as far as I can see, will not run under DOSBox. But you have Win. 98. Lucky Bastard.

If you like BG2, Planescape: Torment is a requirement. It’s one of the best-written games ever, the atmosphere is amazing, and it has this wonderful dreamlike quality to the story thanks to all the portal hopping you do. It’s a much more interesting D&D setting than the typical elf/dwarf/orc/dragon crap in most crpgs, with unique creatures and cultures and a lot of really fascinating history and mythology to discover if you want to take the time. You get halfway through and feel like you’re about to hit the conclusion, and then you realize you just started getting to the crazy part. Couldn’t recommend this game enough.

Ah yes. Planescape: Torment – the anti-RPG of the RPG genre. I wish the were more games that take place in Planescape.

Thanks for the help everyone, many many hours of classic gaming ahead of me now.

Oh and Aniki, I still have my original Sacrifice CD from way back when 🙂

Or more games made by the same group of people.
